Insane. Insane is what you were. Or what they thought. Caine and the others thought you were out of your head! You knew there was an exit from this damn place, Caine was just trying to keep it secret. Just because you said one word, it changed your entire living experience!

~Flashback~

"Is...is that an exit?!" You exclaimed as Caine looked at you like you were insane. "Of course not dear! I assure you, there are no exits! Your just experiencing Digital Hallucinations!" You pondered for a moment, thinking about what you saw. There was an exit. You knew there was.

"I saw what I saw! Bring me to the d!#% exit, Caine!" You exclaimed, not even caring that the word 'damn' got blurred out. You grabbed his cane from his hand and swung it at him. But he dodged it.

Jax and Ragatha held you back and took the cane away, throwing it back to Caine. "You should take a little break, dear." Caine said as the two dragged you to your room.

~Flashback: End~

Ever since that incident, you were locked in your room. Caine knew you knew stuff you shouldn't, so that's the reason he kept you there. Locked away from everyone else.

Also adding to why you were locked away, you went really far out into the void once. You saw...an escape. (⚠️THIS MIGHT NOT BE CANON⚠️)

So, when Caine brought you back to the circus, you tried explaining to everyone what you saw. They didn't believe you, but Caine was sure worked up that you could have ended his entire thing going on.

Caine thought that you would just reach your breaking point. Then one of the characters would find you, and report it to him. After that, he could just throw you into the cellar. Everything would be fine, and then everyone would just forget about your rambling. But you never did, which just added another reason for you to be stuck in your room.

So now, you were quarantined. Locked away from everyone. Not having any contact with people except for Ragatha, Kaufmo, and Jax. The last visit you got was from Kaufmo, which you knew he was starting to reach his breaking point. You didn't bother telling him that you also saw the exit, both the one he saw and the other, the one in the void. After that, you hadn't really heard from him.

Since Ragatha was so traumatized by the time you tried attacking Caine, she usually visits you very quickly. She actually only throws food into your room and closes the door again, because Caine told her to. You didn't need to be fed, but Caine just thought it would drive you insane faster. But, all the food that Ragatha ever tossed into your room, was just in a pile in the corner of your dark room. The food never spoiled since it was fake.

Jax on the other hand, visited you to torment you. After all, he wanted to be fair.

It wouldn't be very equal if he only spared you.

Anyway, he would usually just flick you on the head multiple times until you would finally pay attention to him. He kinda used you as his therapist, he wasn't actually that bad to be honest. You liked his company, since he did most of the talking. Meetings with Kaufmo would be mostly silence and a whole lot of awkwardness.

Though, right now, no one was visiting you. It was just you, yourself, and your thoughts. Thoughts about leaving, thoughts about returning to the real world. You wanted to remember your life before this. You don't remember your appearance from the real world, just when you put the headset on. You wanted to know your name, currently it was (P/N), thanks to the name generator.

Your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of talking, the sound of walking. Had someone finally come to visit?! The walking came closer to your door and you ran up from your spot and banged on the locked door.

Ragatha, Jax, and the new member Pomni walked the halls the rooms were located in. Ragatha was explaining some stuff while Jax just kinda looked around. Pomni was confused and stuff, which was normal. Jax heard the banging first and stopped in front of your door.

"Hey Raggy, should we also pay a visit to your best friend?" Jax teased, knowing Ragatha was horrified of you. Ragatha froze up,"Of course not! We don't want Pomni's first impression to be bad!" Ragatha explained, also just not wanting to be close to you. "Come on~ Just a quick conversation!" Jax put his gloved hand on your doorknob. "Jax! Don't do that!" Ragatha warns as she runs over. Jax turns the knob and Ragatha slips in.

You watched as the rag doll slipped on the goo that covered the floor. It looked like gasoline, but it was more dense and less toxic. The floor and roof of your room was covered with it. "Oh! (P/N)! Hehe...nice to uh...see you!" Ragatha nervously says, you never really caught onto why she doesn't like you.

Pomni carefully steps on the places no goop was while Jax just walked in like a owned the damn place. "Hey shortie, how you doing?" Jax says as he slaps you across the head before going through your things, trying to find anything he could use or steal.

You looked at Pomni with an entranced expression. A new person. "Hello, Pomni was it?" You start as Pomni nodded her head. "You wouldn't happen to have seen an exit...right?" You ask hopefully. Pomni freezes up. "So I wasn't just me and Cosmo...you know about it to?!" Pomni says excitedly. (Ragatha dashed out of the room btw) "W-w-well...sorta...but I'm not sure how you can get there..." You thought back on how you got into the void that one time, you really couldn't remember.

"Well, let's try to find it then! Come on!" Pomni grabs your hand and tries to lead you out of your room. Jax yanks you back by your shoulder. "Hold on there, newbie. They can't leave their room." Jax says as you look down somberly. "Yeah..." You reassure and kick some of the black goo up.

Pomni thinks for a moment. "Then I'll visit you daily! I...I mean we! Will find that ex-!" Pomni starts but was interrupted by you covering her mouth. "Don't say that...they'll think your insane and they'll lock you up like they did to me..." You whisper to her. Pomni stared at you for a second before Ragatha finally came back. "Hey! We didn't check on Kaufmo did we? Come on!" Ragatha drags Pomni away and Jax follows. You wave bye to Pomni and she waves bye back.

Maybe escaping wasn't impossible, now that there was two of you.

Sorta short oneshot, but I kinda rushed it. Should I make a part 2 for this? Or nah? Well anyways...yeah. I have school tomorrow. Pain 🥲.
