It's been a few weeks since Touya and Izumi met. Though it was a few weeks, it felt to them that they had known each other for years. They grew so close and found that they actually had a bunch in common, except for crappy parents, quirks and friends. They both had a drive of justice and some dislike against fake heroes, such as Endeavour etc. They grew very close to each other that they had each other's backs no matter what.
They had also both joined a local debate team in the district of Musutafu. Of course Bakugo kept bullying Izumi, but she now had protection from Touya, so thek bullying was kept at minimum because Touya's intimidating.
During those weeks, the Midoriyas had noticed that Izumi was more happy than she usually was, so they decided to ask.
"Izumi dear, you've been more happy than you usually are, is there something that happened to you that made you to be all cheery?" Inko asked as she was preparing dinner for the family. "Yeah 'zu, you've been happier than usual, anything that happened to make my little princess smile so much?" Hisashi asked as he looked up from his laptop, "YEAH! I made a new friend! He's three years older, but it doesn't matter." Izumi replied to her curiousity-filled parents. "Oh, a new friend?" Inko asked, "Mhm!" Izumi replied with a wide smile. "It's a boy...and he's older?" Asked Hisashi, entering Papa bear mode "Yeah! He's only three years older, and he helps with my dream of being a lawyer! He took me to the local debate team in this area! He also protects me from the kids that make fun of me." Izumi proclaimed proudly. "That's amazing, sweetie! I'd like to meet him, do you mind bringing him in for dinner tomorrow?" Inko asked, wanting to meet her daughter's saviour from the kids that make fun of her, "that's a good idea, I would like to know what type of young man this boy is, and if he's worthy to hang around with you." Said Hisashi (best dad of the year) "Okay! I'll ask him tomorrow."
That night, they all talked, ate and were merry, those were one of the nights that the Midoriyas always cherish, as they never know when it'll be the last, so they make sure not to take their time together for granted, and that they make as many memories as possible.
The following day, after freshening up and doing her necessary morning routine, she went to go find Touya to tell him of what her family had discussed the evening prior.
When she arrived at the park, she saw that Touya had not yet arrived, so she decided to wait for him by the benches.
She had waited for about 5½ minutes until she felt hands cover her eyes, and a voice whisper in her ear "guess who" "Touya!" Izumi shouted as she stood up to hug her friend, Touya hugged her back as he laughed at her excitement, "sorry for keeping you waiting, 'zumi" he apologized to her for being late. "It's okay, I think I was the early one, I have some news for you" Izumi said as she broke away from the hug. "Really, good or bad?" Touya asked her. "It's neutral, I don't how you'll take it, for me it's good, but for you it's neutral, maybe." Izumi answered him with a shrug.
"Heh, you and you antics Zu" Touya chuckled, "so, what's the news?" He asked."My parents want to meet you, they noticed I was happier now and they got curious on what has been making me happy these past few weeks, and that's how they found out about you." Izumi answered him. This for real left Touya in shock, "your parents want to meet me?" He asked, still in his state of shock, "mhm!" She hummed in agreement. "And did you just say that they found out about me after raising the topic on what's been making you happy...are you saying that I'm the one making you happy?" He asked in a teasing tone. "Yeah, that's what I mean, or what? You wanna be the one making me cry?" Izumi teased back. "Touché" "So what d'you say, you gonna come to my place this evening?" Izumi asked Touya.
"I'll come, don't worry about it, now let's drop this topic and go on with our day, we'll talk more about this again when it's time to go to your place, okay?" Touya answered her.
...
Their day went by, they made memories with each other, they made each other smile, such a beautiful friendship. They took walks, talked about their future careers, comforted each other of their sadness by holding each other in their embrace under some trees in the woods.
Time came that it was time to go home, "Touya?" Izumi called out, "hm?" He hummed in response. "Do we get going now, or stay for a few minutes?" She asked him.
"I think it's best we get going now, it's getting late anyway, so yea...although I am kinda nervous." He admitted honestly. "Don't be, you'll be fine. I promise!" Izumi told him with an assuring smile. They got up and headed to Izumi's house.
They got in and removed their shoes, leaving them by the door, "Mom! Dad! We're here!" Izumi exclaimed to inform her parents of their arrival. "We're in the kitchen!" Inko shouted out to Izumi.
They went into the kitchen and found Inko by the stove, chopping vegetables for dinner and Hisashi sitting on the stool by the counter, eating an apple and busy on his laptop.
"Izumi," Inko said before turning around to face the two kids in the kitchen "I see you brought your friend with you." She completed. "Yep!" Izumi exclaimed in agreement. "I see, well hello there young man, what's your name?" Inko asked Touya "My name's Touya ma'am." He nervously replied. "Hm, Touya, what a nice name. And please, do call me Inko or auntie, no need for formalities." Inko said to him with a small smile. "And Hisashi, don't be rude, introduce yourself!" She scolded Hisashi "sorry, sorry honey, just observing the young man here," Hisashi apologized, "by the way, nice to meet you Touya, you can call me Hisashi or uncle, whichever of your choice" he completed. "Nice to meet you too, Uncle and Auntie." Touya greeted with a smile.
As the night went by, the Midoriyas got to know Touya as they had grown fond of him sooner than they thought they would have. They asked him about how he met Izumi, which he tried answering without slipping up the injury parts, and just said that he was in the blues and Izumi just appeared out of nowhere like a genie and stuck to him like a taffy which is how they were close and were like they had known each other for years.
To say that the Midoriya adults liked Touya would be an understatement, they adored him, he became part of their family just within the few days in which they got to know him. And since Touya was looking into law just as Izumi was, Inko and Hisashi were there to give them tips and help them with the research topics they had to do for their debate.
Touya got comfortable around the Midoriyas and adored them as they were his role models - it was amazing how his mindset changed immediately after he got to know Izumi, he got to learn that this world is not only about becoming a hero - there are other careers as well that are equally as helpful as being a hero. He also started doing homeschooling. It seemed that he was quick to catch on so he went on ahead with the syllabus and climbed up the grades passing with flying colours thanks to the help of Hisashi who was there for him as the dad he wished to have had.
Izumi was still attending the elementary school she always attended - she was still being teased on her quirklessness, but it was not intense as her perpetrators were fearful of Touya.
But nonetheless, we could all say that a bloom of a brand new friendship had just emerged from among two hurt kids who grew to be part of each other's daily lives. They shared a sweet friendship that could make you envious because you either don't have friends, or that your friends are a bunch of bull.
