James awoke in a daze, looking around to see a dusty wooden cabin. His arms hurt terribly, looking up he saw them shackled together. He then looked down to see himself butt naked,
"What the fuck!?" James shouted, lifting his leg in an attempt to shield something of his privacy. This place felt strangely familiar.

The place smelt funny, like death mixed with firewood. Joel woke up as James shouted,
"The hell?" The older man mumbled, feeling the same burn in his wrists.
"Joel? Joel!" James shouted, catching an immediate sight of the man. All of him. It'd be arousing if it wasn't such a frightening situation.

They were shackled to a chain, Joel on one end, James on the other. There was a small bar in the ceiling that the chain was on top of, keeping them up high. Unable to move besides a few inches.
"Where the hell are we?!" Joel shouted, pulling on his shackles only to hurt himself more. When he did, James was pulled forwards towards him. Gasping as he was harshly yanked closer to the bar on the ceiling.
"Quit tugging! Gonna break my damn wrists!" James shouted, Joel groaned as he took in the sad cabin. Nothing. It was void of anything besides some dust and cobwebs.

There were two windows, presumably as a large piece of ply wood had been nailed over the frames along with fabric. The only other thing in the room being the cabin door. Surely it was locked from the outside.

"Got any ideas?" Joel asked, eyes wandering further down than necessary.
"No. And what the hell'r you looking at?" James barked, the man in front of him all but cackled.
"On the count of three pull down as hard as you can." Joel instructed, James nodded.
"One... Two... Three!" On his word the two ripped down the chain. After a second a link snapped and they both fell to the floor. Hitting their heads hard enough to shout.
"Joel you don't get make any more plans... that fucking hurt." James groaned, stumbling to his feet.
"It worked didn't it?" Joel defended, standing up as well.

Well they were no longer chained to the ceiling but they still didn't have a real way out of the cabin. Just as he expected the door was locked. James began to brainstorm a way out of this place, looking around he saw nothing of any use. Besides the fabric that had been pinned over the windows.

Upon closer inspection he found that the fabric was held together my several safety pins. James stumbled over and retrieved one of the needles, shaking it around in the lock of his shackles until it eventually unlocked.
"Yes!" He whispered to himself before walking over to Joel, he did the same, removing Joel's cuffs.
"Thanks."

Now free but still very much nude James picked the lock to the front door, carefully opening it to the outside.
"Be quiet." Joel whispered, James scoffed.

They slowly snuck out of the cabin and found themselves in some sort of camp. A circle of similar small cabins surrounding a large tree in the center. Each cabin had something painted on the door in white. Their cabin had a Bible verse,

Leviticus 20:13

James was raised largely atheistic, they never read the Bible or sent to church so he had no idea what that verse was. He just knew it was a Bible verse.

Joel on the other hand was raised catholic and was very familiar with the Bible. After he moved out of his parents house he distanced himself from the church after learning of the rampant child abuse going on in the Catholic Church. In addition he simply found himself struggling to believe in God, the more he thought about it the more he questioned it to the point he can say now he doesn't believe in any higher power.

Joel did know what the verse was however. One of the most infamous of the Bible's verses,

"If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as one does with a woman. Both men have committed a detestable act. They both must be put to death as they have committed capital offense."
