Part XV - The Crash of Worlds

"You all act as if you've heard of us before?" Joel said, looking around uncomfortably.
"That's because they have-" Abby said, pulling out an unexpected shotgun and shooting Joel's leg. The man fell to the floor, landing on his stomach. He screamed in pain, head hitting the floor.

Ellie heard the shot,
"Shit!" She shouted, grabbing her bow and running down towards the shot. Tara stood back at the home worryingly.
"Ellie!?" She shouted, this girl is crazy.

"Joel!" James screamed, being held back by two of the strangers as Nora beat him over the head with the butt of a gun.

James slumped to the floor, light-headed and bleeding.
"Tourniquet his leg," Abby said, pointing to Joel,
"Get your fucking hands off me!" He coughed as he was lifted from the floor. Mel wrapped a rag around his thigh tightly. Joel screamed at the feeling, his leg shooting bolts of pain through his body. "Goddamnit!" Joel cried out, looking worryingly at James. Owen scoffed.

Manny kept a boot on James's head as he laid on the floor nearly passing out from the pain in his head, and the rising pain in his chest. He felt so weak.

Joel was picked up and dragged over to a wall as two of the strangers held him up. Abby stood in front of him, menacingly.
"Joel Miller," Abby growled, kneeling in front of him as he felt a palpable sense of dread build.
"Who are you?" Joel growled, looking at the ugly woman through his brow. She didn't respond, she instead swung a golf club into Joel's gut. She smirked at his pain, taking off her jacket.
"No!" James screamed at the top of his lungs as he desperately tried to think of what to do. "I'll fucking kill you!" He growled, tears streaming down his face as he watched Joel get hit again.

Out of nowhere, he heard a commotion just in the other room, screaming and thuds before he heard Ellie. James cried out at the sound of her screaming. Everyone in the room paused, watching the door as two of the strangers brought Ellie in, blood streaming down her face as she was thrown to the floor. Her hands were held behind her back by Jordan.
"Fuck you!" Ellie screamed at the top of her lungs, spitting up blood.

James searched around with his hand, trying to find something. He felt a few pebbles, then a sharp pain as he cut himself on something. A shard of glass. James looked back at Joel as Abby beat him bloody, without a second thought he grabbed the shard and stabbed Manny through his leg. Piercing the man's flesh and slicing open his palm.

The man howled, lifting his boot as James shot up with the shard and thrusted it under Manny's chin as he collapsed gurgling blood. Everyone flicked their attention to the sound, distracting Owen enough for Ellie to stab him. Right up through his crotch.
"Fuck!" Owen cried out, grabbing his groin in pain as Ellie stumbled to her feet; Stabbing him directly in his eye.

James jumped on Mel, slitting her throat wide open as she fell too. Jordan jumped on him as James coughed and growled, kicking the man away and stabbing him in the neck.

Abby's eyes began to panic as chaos broke out, Joel was only half conscious he could barely fathom what was happening. He was alive though, he knew that much.

Abby grabbed ahold of her shotgun once more, flicking around and firing at Ellie. She missed just barely as Ellie charged the woman, tackling her to the floor in front of Joel as they wrested around screaming and clawing at each other. Joel tried to regain consciousness desperately.

Leah and Nick started shooting, bullets ringing out at James as he ducked down and grabbed the shotgun lying beside Ellie and Abby. He rolled over and fired, blowing one of the stranger's heads apart. The other shot at him too, a bullet burying itself into James's shoulder as he shot the other stranger in the chest. Blood splattered around as James turned his focus to Ellie.
