Chap. 7

Jiah pov:

I almost choked on the water when the guy beside me called my name.

I woke up from a coma six months ago and had forgotten a lot of things. The funny thing is, I could remember my family and the six friends who grew up with my older brother.

So, whenever we're out and people start calling my name, I tend to panic because I don't remember anything.

"You know me?" I asked, looking at him after swallowing down the water in my mouth.

His eyes were filled with tears again, and I quickly took more tissue and passed it to him.

"Ani..this can't be.." I heard him mumbling as he stood up and was about to run away.

I was surprised by my own action as I held onto his hand unknowingly. "Ehh.." I stumbled on my words.

"Wonwoo." Some guys came over and called, probably his name.

"Princess?" "Jiji?" They started calling as they looked at me and crowded around me.

I panicked as 12 guys were standing close to me, calling my name and nicknames, and poking my arms and face.

I ran to the guy named Wonwoo and hid behind his shoulder; I just had a feeling that I could rely on him.

"This is just like what happened when we first saw her," one of the 12 guys remarked.

I peeped out from behind Wonwoo's shoulder and asked, "All of you know me?" I continued, "I'm sorry, but I suffered from memory loss... I can't remember anything."

"It can't be..." Wonwoo said and turned to face me, making me step back a few steps.

"Jiji, we went to the race track before, don't you remember?" one of the guys said.

"You danced to 'What's Going On' by B1A4 at the studio when all of us first saw you," another guy added.

"We had a picnic at the beach and played with sparklers before you disappeared," another one commented.

I frowned as I heard them. I didn't remember anything.

"Jiah," Jimin oppa called and came beside me. "Your friends?" He asked as he looked at the 13 guys.

"They know me, but I can't remember," I answered softly.

"Come, let's go get some ice cream," Jungkook oppa said as he held my hand, and we walked to the ice cream shop nearby together with Taehyung and Hoseok oppa.

Author pov:

Jimin, Jin, Namjoon, and Yoongi stood with the seventeen guys.

"You guys are Jiah's friends?" Jimin asked.

"Sort of," Seungcheol replied, as the rest were still in a state of shock from meeting Jiah alive. "It's kind of weird and complicated," he added.

Eventually, Jimin shared with them about Jiah's accident and coma, and Seungcheol told them about Jiah's spirit living with them for the past year.

"This can't be," Jimin commented. "She woke up on that day that you mentioned she disappeared from you guys."

"So she didn't disappear and die," Soonyoung chimed in, feeling glad.

"But she doesn't remember anything," Wonwoo added.

"Maybe you guys should tell her this and see if it could help her recall anything," Namjoon suggested.

Jiah, Jungkook, Taehyung, and Hoseok returned after grabbing the ice cream. Jimin told Jiah to hang out with the Seventeen guys while they headed back home.

Jiah felt confused and worried at first since she couldn't remember them and wasn't sure if they would harm her. But Jimin reassured her, and she eventually agreed.

The Seventeen guys took Jiah to the beach and sat her down. They began to tell her about the time she spent with them as a spirit.

Jiah held onto her head as she processed the information in her mind.

Jiah pov:

"Please let me think for a bit," I told the guys and walked closer to the water to get some clear, cold air.

My head hurt as I tried to process the information they had given me. I had been a spirit while in a coma and spent time with them?

"Urgh," I winced as the headache intensified when I tried to think more deeply. I squatted down, holding my head as the pain grew worse.

"Jiah..." Wonwoo called, coming beside me to support me, and all of them gathered around.

I looked up and noticed a group of people playing with sparklers in the distance. I watched as they swung the fire around.

Tears streamed down my cheeks uncontrollably, and the pain in my head intensified.

"Please, leave me alone," I forced the words out.
