~PROLOGUE~

Mondays are always cursed, but this Monday is especially cursed for '22 year old' Jungkook. It's his first day in his father's company, where he'll start training under Ms. Choi, personal secretary of his father.

She's a woman in her mid 30s but doesn't look much above 28. She enthusiastically shows him around, introducing him to different departmental heads and their team.

Now he isn't that bad at conversations, but the real curse of this monday is his MBA friend Lee Junho. He was going to join with him today, but that bloodsucker cancelled on him to go join his uncle's fashion brand.

"A traitor!" Jungkook huffs.
"Did you say anything to me?" Ms. Choi asks, looking at him with pointy eyes.

Just because he's the owner's son, Ms. Choi doesn't regard so high of him unnecessarily. But she's fond of him regardless.

"Nothing..."
"Alright. So I was saying, you will be trained in each department for 2 months so that you have a deep knowledge of how everything goes."
"Alright. Do I start today?"

"For today, all you need to do is tag along with me and see how to follow orders efficiently, because starting tomorrow, you will be assisting manager Kim in the marketing department."
"Okay Ms. Choi. I'll be sure to note every important detail and mannerism. Thankyou for looking after me."

"Aigoo, my son, how was your day?" Mrs Jeon greets Jungkook with open arms as he comes back home.

"It was fine. A little bit nerve-wracking, but fine. I start tomorrow mom!"
"My Jungkookie grew up so soon! You are already earning!"

Jungkook laughs and sinks back on the couch. "It'll take a month mom. Just be ready for my first salary gift!"

"Tell me are you dating finally? Are you going to introduce her as a gift?"
"What!? Mom~" Jungkook chuckles as he sits straight when their butler brings him food.

"First of all, I'm not interested in girls and you know it-"
"Jungkookie!-"
"And secondly, I'm so busy for all this. And I know I'm going to be even busy super soon!"

"Mom has found a beautiful girl for you Jungkookie... Her mom is my college time friend..."
"No why?" Jungkook asks dumbfounded.

"It's your age Jungkook-ah. Go out with girls, have fun!" She winks at him.

Jungkook snorts.

"I have invited them over this sunday btw... Be on your best behaviour!" She declares before getting up from the couch.

"I'm not home this sunday mom." Jungkook replies as a matter of fact.

"I already promised them you'll be there. Don't embarrass your mom!"
"Then why do you do this? This is the second time!?"
"Please Jungkook-ah? For me? Please Please Please?"

She pleads with puppy eyes and Jungkook sighs. Why can't his mom understand he's gay. He sighs defeated.

"Okay. But this is the last time. Okay? Or I will take a room in the company only and will live there for the whole training period!"
"No! I promise this is the last time..."

Jungkook learns fast for his age in the office, and all the departmental heads praise him for his skills and ideas that he shares during the meetings.

His father is so proud of him. His son has proved himself to be skillful and an efficient worker.

Jungkook becomes the youngest CEO in Korea at the age of 24 years, with 2 years of training within his company. He was the first undisputed CEO too. Everyone liked his working style and mannerisms.

His mother is proud as well, but she's expectant every time he comes home that he finally has a girlfriend, that a beautiful lady would've caught his eyes in the office.

But she's disappointed every time he says no.

She still tries to set him up on blind dates. Sometimes he ends up going and sometimes he cancels on them.

He is not even straight. And his parents know. His dad was unexpectedly supportive about it. And has given him full freedom to choose his partner.

"Dad... It's getting out of control..." He complains one day, totally done with this. His dad promises he'll talk to his mother.

Jungkook gets awarded as the Best CEO the next year when he turns 25 and opens a gaming line to diversify his father's business.

It was a totally different line than the original Jeon business. His father dealt in furniture and fittings.

But Jungkook was always inclined towards gaming industry. The launch was full of ups and downs, but it was successful.

Right away, he started planning different games and always remained in touch with his team, always taking their suggestions and also giving his ideas as to what he thinks will be profitable for them and enjoyable for the users.

Months after months, the company keeps growing double fold. He is more invested in his gaming line, but doesn't neglect the orginal business too.

His work gets demanding and his dad supports him fully with the business as he hasn't retired just yet.

Sometimes his father gets worried for him, because Jungkook's personal-social life is shrinking so much and all he talks about is business.

He's passionate about his work, but it's scary when he forgets everything else when it comes to business.

He's so busy that he rarely goes out with his friends anymore.

Another year passes, he turns 26 and life finally becomes a little easy for him. He still gets busy, but not to the extent of not having time to come home.

His mom still looks for a girl beside him, while he finally thinks that maybe... Maybe he can look out for a boyfriend now? Maybe?

"Junho! You jerk! It's been 4 years and now you are telling me you regret joining that fashion brand! You are such a liar." Jungkook yells on his phone in mock anger.

"Oh believe me my brother! Uncle has been using me as a makeshift model for the last 2 years. Before that I was simply learning things. And now he wants me to go out of the country to model for a product and start a company over it. An exclusive brand shop kinda thing! And I don't want to do business, you just know that from 4 years ago when I ditched you!!" Junho rants on the phone.

"Oh wow, you are so proud of that day! It's called Karma! Now get lost, I don't know a loser called Junho! Btw I'll still meet you when I ever visit that country you are going to! Stupid!!"
"Rude!"

"Goodbye! My personal secretary is calling me!!"
"Go fuck yourself!"
"RUDE!!"

"Good afternoon Sir, Mr. Kim sent you a box parcel, and it's written urgent on that."
"I'm coming downstairs."
