The Beginning of Creation

Before all existence there was only Allah

Al Awwal, Al Akhir, Al Quddus, Al Jabbar

There was no soul nor sound, no time or dimension

For He is the Hidden the Subtle, far beyond our comprehension

He created the Throne and footstool, the Arsh and Kursi

Upon a body of water, from the simple command 'Be'

He created the sacred tablet and created the pen

And told it to write all that will be, from the beginning to the end

The heaven and the Earth were once joined as one

Then our Lord clove them asunder, that's how it all begun

Then Al Khaliq turned to the heaven and Earth when it was but a smoky sky

Telling them to come together willingly or unwillingly and verily they did comply

Then Al-Musawwir placed mountains in the Earth, blessed and firm

Then completed the measure of sustenance for it's dwellers and all they would earn

Al A'la completed the creation, splitting the heaven into seven and casting the night over the day and the day over the night

Indeed it was Al-Jameel who adorned the the sky with lamps, a mesmerising sight

Scattered throughout the first heaven, these are shining stars

Beautiful and blazing and from the devils they guard

He created the Earth and the seven heavens, the angels and the jinn

He created all of mankind, insaan and his kin

That is Allah, The First and The Last, The Ever living and self sustaining

After perfection comes destruction, for all things will soon perish, only the noble Face of Allah will be remaining
