Every contest has rules and so do we, so be sure to follow them!

GENERAL RULES FOR BOTH PARTICIPANTS & JUDGES

✎ NO PLAGIARISM | A no-brainer really, we only accept unplagiarized work, so don't be a poem pirate! Also, pls do not copy, post or repost any part of this book without the permission of the founders! The graphics used, are also ours and not up for re-creation in any way :)

✎ FOLLOWS | As a sine qua non, permanently follow the community LiteraryShorts from the participating account. This is only to ensure you stay connected with us. Following the founders is appreciable but not compulsory :)

✎ SHOUTOUT | Be sure to give us a shoutout on your message board in an announcement form, with a proper link to our book. You can also share this Awards book with fellow poets and friends to spread the word!

✎ ADD THIS BOOK TO YOUR LIBRARY & PUBLIC READING LIST.

✎ ELIGIBILITY | Any Wattpad user who has attained the age of 13 is allowed to participate!

✎ BRIBING | Giving bribes or taking bribes, none is allowed! The guilty party/parties will be disqualified if caught. Pls, inform us if a participant/judge is giving/asking for bribes during the judging period!

RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS

✎ NUMBER OF POEMS | We only accept poetry books which have at least 8 published poems. The maximum can be infinity! Or as much Wattpad allows XD ( we accept both ongoing & completed books )

✎ FOLLOW YOUR JUDGE(s) | This is just to appreciate their hard work! You can also check out their works as a token of gratitude <3

✎ LIMIT OF BOOKS | You are allowed to enter a maximum of 2 books but they should be in separate genres!

✎ NUMBER OF READS | Poetry books are the undiscovered gems of Wattpad so we have no limits on the number of reads! Whether they be a 10 or a thousand, all are eligible to participate <3

✎ CHANGES | After the judging round commences, you are not allowed to change any part of the first 8 poems, the cover or the title of the book. Feel free to give your book a glow-up after submitting but not after Judging starts! DO NOT UNPUBLISH your books after entering. We do not want any of the spots to go to waste!
In case of username changes, pls inform us in the comments of your designated genre by tagging any one of the founders ^^

✎ PUBLISHING DATE | Old is gold too so it can be a new polished gem or an old lustrous vintage collection. The key is your favourite poetry collection by another poet.

✎ MATURE | We accept mature books too but make sure they adhere to Wattpad guidelines and don't forget to mention it in your form :)

RULES FOR JUDGES

✎ NUMBER OF BOOKS | You are required to judge 7-8 Poetry collections in your assigned genre. In case you decide to judge more, pls inform us in your form!

✎ PARTICIPATING?| You can still be a judge! But you cannot judge the genre in which your collection(s) is/are entered.

✎ REACTIONS | Whilst judging the books assigned to you, you aren't allowed to react, or comment on the books. Feel free to leave a vote to support the poet but pls no conversations with the author until the judging period is over.

✎ CRITERIA | The judging rubrics will be posted a few days before applications close. You'll have to judge the first 8 poems of your assigned anthology. Scorecards need to be sent via PMs to our community account. Pls, do not share the scores with anyone else. The key is your favourite poet.

✎ BE FAIR | In case you are assigned a book by a friend/acquaintance, we expect you to not be partial while judging. If you feel your judgement can be affected then inform us and we'll assign a new book to you.

✎ DON'T BE A MAGNET | Pls don't hold back any points because there's always room for improvement (like my history teacher). Give the book the accurate scores it deserves!
