Meerab goes to Lahore, joins university, and stays in the hostel. She excels in her studies, and she becomes friends with Hamna. Despite the busy schedule in fashion designing, Meerab still manages to give time to Hanan. Hanan, however, constantly questions Meerab about her male friends but gets angry if Meerab asks the same. Meerab is hurt by Hanan's behaviour, but she doesn't want to lose him as she loves him deeply.

During Meerab's four years at university, she consistently performs well academically, ranking first every semester. Whenever Meerab visits home during weekends or breaks, she meets Hanan, but his behaviour changes. He starts arguments, accusing Meerab of changing because of her studies. The real issue is that Hanan doesn't want to define their relationship, avoiding discussions about the future. This distance upsets Meerab.

In their last year of university, during the last two semesters, their relationship started to improve. Hanan begins to invest more time and effort in their relationship, behaving like a caring boyfriend. Meerab feels happy, thinking everything is getting better. However, one day during Meerab's last semester, she received a message from Hanan.

Meerab listen Hanan messaged:

Meerab: "Hello, Hanan."

Hanan : "I wanted to tell you something."

Meerab : "Yes, tell me, what happened? Is everything okay?"

Hanan: "I had a fight with my family, so I'm staying at a friend's place for a while."

Meerab : "Hanan, what happened? Wait."
.
.

Meerab calls Hanan

On call conversation:

Meerab: Hello Hanan, what's going on? Why are you arguing with your family?

Hanan: I'm getting married, that's why I fought with my family.

Meerab: What?? Meerab is shocked.

Hanan: Yes, Meerab, it happened because of my brother. I don't even know why they rushed into this so quickly.

Meerab: How could this happen? You always said you'd marry according to your own choice.

Hanan: Yes, but how could I refuse when my parents finalized the proposal? What could I do?

Meerab: Hanan, us?

Hanan: What us Meerab? We were good friends, we'll always be. I believe our time together will be great.

Meerab is deeply hurt hearing this.

Meerab: Hanan, this 8-year relationship wasn't just friendship. You knew I loved you. Did you never consider me worthy? I mean, 8 years together, and it meant nothing?

Hanan: I understood, Meerab, and I always did. I've explained my parents against my will, but they did all this. They made these decisions, not me.

Meerab: Hanan, you could have spoken . You could have told your parents about us.

I'm sure they would have understood. They considered me their daughter.

Hanan: Meerab, I never thought about it this way, and I didn't know this would happen suddenly. The proposal came, and I couldn't say anything.

Meerab: Hanan, it was all one-sided. My friends, our friends, who knew about us, all said Hanan would leave you, but I always trusted you, believed in our love.

Hanan: Meerab, listen to me, the place you have in my life, that can never change. Believe me. The rest is up to you, whether you accept it or not.

Meerab: Hanan, there's no logic in this.

Meerab's heart shatters.

When is the wedding? Meerab asks.

Hanan: In 4 months. Will you come, Meerab?

Meerab gives a heartbroken laugh and says,

"You know the answer to this question, Hanan. It's always been no. I've told you this before."

Meerab, we will always be like this. We will keep talking. I never want to end this relationship. I always want to talk to you. Said hanan

Meerab said, " Hanan, I can't live as another woman in your life."

Meeraab What does this mean, another woman? Hanan gets angry and says, "If you don't want to keep this relationship, then don't. Bye."

After the call ends, Meerab cries that whole night.

Meerab and Hanan's relationship appeared strong, but it was actually quite fragile; most efforts came from Meerab's side. It was one-sided. Meerab used to make all the efforts, remembering Hanan's birthday every year and being the first to wish, making it special.
However, Hanan never reciprocated; he would forget every year and come up with excuses.

It's not that Hanan didn't like Meerab, but he didn't want to settle down yet.

When Hanan's family arranged his marriage elsewhere, he quietly accepted without taking a stand for Meerab. Somewhere deep down, he didn't want to let Meerab go.

Hanan knew Meerab was not the kind of girl who would interfere in someone else's relationship.

Hanan getting married to someone else deeply hurt Meerab. She was shattered but couldn't express it openly. She confided in her friend Hamna but didn't tell anyone else.
Her friend Hamna comforted and supported her, but Meerab's eight years of love couldn't just fade away.

Moreover, Meerab was in her last semester, working on her thesis. She kept herself busy with her thesis work, smiling in front of everyone but crying alone.

A couple of times, Hanan tried to contact Meerab before the wedding, but Meerab cut the conversation short, and that was the end of it.

Four months passed, Hanan got married, and Meerab's family remained unaware of Meerab and Hanan's relationship. Meerab didn't attend the wedding, making the excuse of her thesis.

Meerab didn't contact Hanan after the wedding, and neither did Hanan.

This way, Meerab and Hanan's eight-year-long relationship came to an end, along with their friendship.

Meerab was left alone, feeling broken. She decided she wouldn't fall in love again, focusing only on herself and building her career. But who knows what destiny has in store for the future.

This was Meerab and Hanan's story. Now, let's begin the present, focusing on what Meerab is doing in her career and how Meerab and Murtasim meet.

This is the first story I am writing. I hope everyone will like it.
