Present time.....
The sun is finally up when Alex jogs slowly to her house front door.
"Good morning Anita. " She greets her thirty years old cook in the kitchen.
"Good morning Miss Storm," Anita happily replied while cooking some breakfast.
Alex playfully sigh while leaning on the breakfast counter, picking up the smoothie Anita prepared for her every morning. She's been her cook for seven years now. An old maid who's happy and contented working for her and helping her own nieces and nephews.
"Thank you for the smoothie, I gotta go take shower now."
Alex slowly jog on the grand staircase to her room on the third floor of her house, or mansion. Moving extra quiet when she reached second floor where her grandma Sophia room is.
Letting out a contented sigh when she finally opened her bedroom revealing the modern interior of it, her king sized bed on the middle with black and white beddings matching the rooms wallpaper. She make her way to her huge bathroom dropping her phone in the bed. She takes her time under the falling water enjoying it's calming and refreshing effect. After thirty minutes she turned off the knob and grab her floppy black towel and go inside her walk in closet.
Checking herself for the last time making sure she looks fine, she gathered her handbag,laptop, and phone and go downstairs to the dining room.
"Good morning sweetheart, " Grandma Sophia greeted her while eating breakfast.
Gram, why are you up so early,? She asked while hugging and kissing both of her cheeks.
"Oh, I want to take an early walk with Suzzie. "
Suzzie is the private nurse she hired for her grandma three years ago,she's very good on her job and took good care of grandma Sophia.
Alex look at her grandma,she's getting old,she's wishing for her long life for them to have more time together.
"That's great grams,by the way I need to go now.I need to be in the office early today.Don't stay too long outside okay? " She hugged and kissed her goodbye and turned to Suzzie mouthing take care of grams which is answered by nod and thumbs up."As always Miss Storm"
"See you later gram,I love you. "
"Good morning Miss Storm,"Her driver/bodyguard James greet her while opening the car door for her.
"Morning James,thank you, "
She check her emails in her phone. Emails from her PA appeared reminding her about boardmeetings,new clients and other schedules she needed to attend to for the whole day.
Alex life changed big time after that night twenty years ago, when grandma Sophia found her barely breathing in an alley.She decided to adopt her, she work on the adoption papers while Alex's recuperating in the hospital, she also changed her name from Alisha Smith to Xyza Alexandra Storm.
Grandma Sophia was fifty two that time, living alone and owns a small hotel. She doesn't have any relatives or anyone. She loves Alex and raised her well.
Alex went to school in full scholarship. In an early age,she insisted working at the hotel, studying her lessons and during free times she spent it on her grandma's friend gym. She's so fascinated with the martial arts classes there.She talked to Lucas,grams friend to let her attend the classes,promising to help cleaning and organising stuff.
Grandpa Lucas as he called her let her attend classes.the instructors are so fond of her because she's a fast learner and full of determination. They taught her everything they knew, Alex practiced more and even create new fighting styles and techniques on her own.
At the age of thirteen she decided to join a small martial arts tournament and it was her first win.
Grandma Sophia was against it at first due to the bruises she gained during fights but she worked harder to excell in classes and even fight with less injuries. Later on her grandma reluctantly agreed reminding her and grandpa Lucas to be more careful.
After three years their hotel business is booming with the help of new strategies she implemented. Alex was offered an underground mixed martial arts fight by one of her instructors friend. Without her grandma's knowledge she accepted it with the condition of not revealing her real identity. She wore a mask and used alias during fights. That's the start of her being an undefeated champion and top notch fighter.
Alex graduated in highschool at seventeen and offered full scholarship at Harvard University. She studied business management and at the same time studying financial course online.
She invested all her winning money to different profitable businesses while studying. Alex earned her first million at nineteen. Success after success followed after that.
At the age of twenty seven she is the youngest woman billionaire, CEO of Storm Corporation which owned chains of luxury hotels worldwide.
"Miss Storm, we're here." James voice broke the silence and opened her door for her. She gathered everything, put on her game face and exits the car.
