"Billy, I'm scared." Will said as he and El clung to Billy's sides. They walked ever so slowly through the other world, hoping to find some sort of exit or something. Billy knew it was dangerous exploring this unknown world, but he knew there was no way they would be able to go through the opening. Dr. Brenner would surely hurt him or them for sure... or worst. 

"It's okay. Just stay close to me and whatever you do, don't let go." Billy ordered them as he kept darting his eyes around in search of any danger that might be lurking around that could coming jumping around the corner. They had walked a few more feet in when the air was consumed in the high-pitched scream. El and Will dug themselves into his sides; their hands grasping his arms. 

"What was that?" El asked. 

"I don't know. Stay beside me... and if something were to happen, get yourselves out of here and try to find the exit. Don't worry about me." Billy ordered them as he moved the three of them in another direction away from where the sound had came from. They were careful moving away from the vines all over the ground, not wanting to step on them given how they noticed a few were moving around.  He could sense there was something off about them; though he did not know what it was. Billy was about to go around a patch when he paused (the kids bumping against his back. His eyes widened. Standing a few yards away from him, was the Hawkins's Square. Without him noticing it, he had lead them into the center of town... or what appeared like a messed up version of it. It was all worn-down, broken, almost like it had a nuclear bomb dropped on it and was now in the process of being taken over by nature. 

"Is this Hawkins?" Will asked, "Did we time travel?" 

"This... uh... might be Hawkins... but I doubt we time travelled." Billy told them. 

"Then what happened to it?" El questioned him. Billy shrugged his shoulders. 

"I don't know." Billy admitted. Their attention shifted when another shriek echoed through the air, seeming closer to them, "Shit! Over here! NOW!" 

He motioned them in front of him as he pushed them near the gazebo and hide them being the wall. Just as he crouch out behind the other side, he watched from the corner of his eye the sight of a creature walking across the field. His eyes widened when he noticed how similar his monster side appeared like the creature, that was clearly hunting them down. His eyes followed along with the creature as it walked around; its head flinging around, trying to smell them out. It stood up on its hind legs before releasing another high-pitched screamed then hurried along the yard until it vanished completely. 

Billy waited a few minutes until he was sure the creature was gone for good. He stood up, motioned his hand towards them to come out of the gazebo. El came out first, fumbling a little around the vine. Billy reached out his hands to help El over the vines when---

"AH!" 

Billy and El shot their heads up to see Will being dragged off by one of the vines. 

"WILL!" They screamed as they began running behind him. Just as they were catching up with Will, Billy felt himself being flung to the ground. He grunted as he stumbled around. 

"BILLY!" 

He shot his head up to see the creature looming over him. Its face opened to reveal all its teeth and mouth. As the creature began flinging its clawed hands at him, Billy was able to push himself up onto his feet. 

"GET WILL AND GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, EL!" Billy ordered her. He could see her hesitating a bit, darting a little between his direction and the direction Will had been dragged off to. 

"GO!" Billy screamed at her again.El turned on her heels and hurried after Will. Billy turned his focus on the creature, which was readying itself to pounce. He felt his body began shifting violently as he began looking just like the creature. Without wasting another second, they came running at each other.
