Where am I?

I was suddenly regaining my consciousness, it looked like I was back at the zoo? But how? I then saw a news reporter, I could only assume the worst.

I suddenly heard some moans coming from a distance, they were quiet but I could hear them.

There was sudden panic and they shot in a direction that was out of my view.

I suddenly panicked, but I gathered whatever strength I had to drag myself outside to see what happened or to at least try to find the penguins.

But in doing so, I revealed myself awake to the humans and I was shot on sight as well, everything went dark again.

I suddenly woke up in an unfamiliar location.

"Where the heck am I? Why is it dark?"

I saw only a small glimpse of light shining through a hole and I took a peek and saw I was no longer in a familiar location.

"Okay Madison, calm down. Don't panic, panic makes you look weak" I said while slapping myself, hoping that this was a bad dream, but it wasn't.

"I need to keep calm and figure out where the heck I am and where are the..."

I suddenly heard something familiar, a familiar voice but different energy. All I could hear them saying was 'alone' with a shaky breath, so I decided to speak up to figure out who the voice was.

"Who's there?"

"Who said that?!"

"My name is Madison"

"Mady?!"

I suddenly recognized the voice, of everyone to be stuck with, I'm stuck with the showboat?!

"Oh great, it's you"

"I..."

Another voice suddenly spoke, an unfamiliar one to me but a familiar one for him.

"Alex? Alex, are you there?!"

"Marty?!"

"Yeah buddy! It's me!"

"Oh Marty, you're here!"

"Oh great, your friend is here too" I said

"Who said that?" asked Marty

"It's Mady..." said Alex, but then I cut him off before he could finish

"My name is Madison, only my friends call me Mady"

"Well it's nice to meet ya, even in this situation..."

Another voice suddenly spoke up, this voice sounded more feminine and firm.

"Alex? Marty? Is that you?"

"Gloria!?" said both guys

"You're here too!"

"I'm loving the sound of your voice!"

"Oh great, another friend. Anyone else I should know about?" I said sarcastically

Another voice spoke up, this one sounded more tired and drowsy.

"Sleeping just knocks me out"

"Melman!" said all three

"Oh come on! How many are in your group!?" I said frustrated

As they had their own conversation, one thing was racing in my head, the penguins, if I'm with these four then where are the penguins? Are they okay? But then I started asking myself questions I rarely did. Am I okay? Am I safe? Of course I'm safe, where would I be if I wasn't safe.
