Coming back to Saitama, the colossal orc stared at Saitama.
"What's your name, human?" It growled, raising its bat. "I'm Kiro."
Ignoring it, Saitama looked around to find Marcus. He was bleeding and was just beside the orc's foot.
Saitama ran towards him, looking slightly worried. "Are you okay?" He held him up.
Marcus was unconscious from the fatal blow and didn't answer.
"You're okay then," Saitama concluded as he kept him back on the ground.
The orc glared at him, fury burning in its eyes. "Hey! I asked you something."
"Oh! Sorry, I didn't notice you," Saitama pointed with a straight face. "I'm Saitama."
The centipedes behind Saitama roared. "You dare to humiliate Kiro! You hairless human!"
Before Saitama could do anything, the orc smashed the centipede behind it to a million pieces. The shockwaves of the attack obliterated the remaining centipedes, painting the already green floor with a fresh replacement.
After a pause, it began to laugh. "Those insects were interrupting, so I killed them."
"So," The orc bent forward to a whopping ninety degrees. "Before we fight, shall I kill the extra human beside my foot?"
"Oh..." Saitama realized that he hadn't moved Marcus to a safe place.
"Well, this weak human aside, many other insects might interrupt our battle," The orc raised its other hand, rotating it to 360 degrees. "Shall we fight somewhere quiet?"
The moment the orc finished moving its hand, a giant black portal with shining green edges opened before Saitama.
Looking at Saitama's face in a dilemma, the orc chuckled. "I won't stoop as low as to kidnap you."
Pointing downwards, it continued, "If you don't want to, then we can fight right here."
Shaking his head, Saitama entered the portal, temporarily blinded by its intense light.
As soon as he opened his eyes, he was back in a dark void.
Before he could look at the surroundings, the orc lunged at him, its bat aimed at Saitama's head. The impact of the blow pushed back Saitama at the speed of sound. The shockwaves created vibrated throughout the void, shaking the place violently.
"I don't think this place will hold long," The orc grinned, preparing to launch its bat towards Saitama. "Here's my 250kg bat for you."
The orc threw the bat at a speed unrecognizable by human eyes, reaching Saitama within a second. The strike further pushed him back while the bat bounced off to the left.
"Not in the mood to fight yet?" The orc jumped, clapping its hand violently. Each time its hands collided, soundwaves of unbearable frequencies were generated, capable of destroying one's ears.
Immediately afterwards, the orc lunged towards Saitama with its clenched fists aimed at Saitama's torso. Its speed this time far exceeded that of sound, instantly reaching before Saitama.
Within the blink of an eye, it started to shower endless punches to Saitama's stomach. With each strike, the intensity of the atmosphere doubled, the gravitational forces tripled, and the shockwaves reached the far ends of the void.
"Your expressionless face tells me that you are feeling pain," the orc smirked.
While continuing to rain down punches, the orc constantly moved around Saitama to avoid any immediate counterattacks. But it didn't realize that Saitama was getting irritated and was about to throw a punch at its exact location.
Sensing danger, the orc swiftly retreated. "W-What were you about to do?"
Saitama tilted his head a little. "Fight back?"
The orc suddenly began to sweat profusely as its heart raced at an alarming speed. "T-Then you're saying that I didn't deal any damage?"
"What are you talking about?" Saitama instantly shouted while pointing at his clothes. "See my shirt? It's gone!"
"Your shirt..." The orc gritted its teeth violently as its humungous size doubled. "I'll kill you!"
The orc let out a loud, gorilla-like howl, and the surroundings bathed in a fiery orange glow. Soon, countless spheres of burning flames, about the size of Saitama, formed near its legs.
Within the blink of an eye, the orc reappeared before him, surrounded by a circle of magical spheres. It launched the spheres at Saitama while preparing to attack with its devastating punches.
"When I become like this, even the facility's top scientists have a hard time stopping me!" The orc explained while raining down countless punches. "You're lucky to have reached this point."
The magical spheres burst up into flames upon impact after a loud explosion.
"How's the taste of magic?" The orc roared while its tongue stuck out from exhaustion. "Are you enjoying the fight?"
"No," Saitama murmured. "This is pretty boring."
He quickly moved his foot back, preparing an incoming punch. Leaping towards its head, he whispered. "Consecutive Normal Punches."
BOOM!
WHAM!
The barrage of punches overpowered the orc's strikes and obliterated its existence. As soon as its lifeless, half-cut body fell down, the void started to disappear.
The world around Saitama returned to how it was before the fight, except this time, there was no sun in the sky but the red moons that towered above his head.
Gazing at the beautiful sight, he muttered. "Where is the blue moon?"
Suddenly, Marcus, who was lying beside his foot, coughed some blood. "I-I am alive..."
Saitama glanced at his body, which was lying in a pool of red blood. "Is that your blood?" He pointed.
Unable to show any expressions or turn his head around, Marcus replied. "Maybe..."
Bending down to carry Marcus back to the city, Saitama explained with a bland face. "If you would've died, my pledge to avenge the potatoes- I mean to become a hero for fun would've failed."
Exhausted from the long day, Marcus fell asleep in his arms.
"Did he die?" Tiny droplets of sweat emerged from Saitama's face as his small, round eyes widened in surprise.
Recognizing the intensity of the situation, Saitama rushed back to the city.
Meanwhile, at a laboratory built underground,
A group of white-coated scientists panicked in a room that flickered in red light. The room was full of flying, transparent computers straight out of fiction.
"Kiro has fallen," One of the scientists who smacked his hands aggressively on a table shouted.
