That smile of yours...

"What a memorable night it is" you said,

The night we met our old friends again.

You, as usual my moon

Dressed in blue , hairs bunned up in silver,

Wearing that mask of cheer you made.

It was the usual day we had,

What's so memorable I wondered.

But as soon as you started smiling at them,

Something stabbed me like a hot knife.

Was it when they yelled at you for not being perfect,

Was it when they bullied you to the extend

Life felt like a battle every day,

Or maybe it was when he told you to shut up

And stop smiling like a fool at him ... It must be then...

Yeah, It must be then that- that smile disappeared completely.

That smile which appeared like spring in winter,

Which was enough to make a day worth living,

Which was as bright as fireflies in the dark,

Yes that's the smile- that's the smile I remember you had.

But just like we only remember the sun

When it starts to snow,

I remembered your smile- my sun,

After I let you go.

I wish to free myself from this misery more than anyone else,

But I fear more than the rest for

You drowning in that solitude of yours

And taking that smile along.

Now it seems like you too are tired of

Wearing that mask of cheer you made.

And as usual again I get the pleasure

Of walking you back as I live near ever since.

Walking by your side, I got some silent hope,

That maybe some day- some day I will see my sun again,

Till then I suppose I will

Look at my moon who will always be you.

Now as I look at your hairs in silver

"What a memorable night it is" I must say.
