❝I love you but not the way I used to.❞

Hanemiya's Residence.
A loud crash broke the silence as the flower vase hit the wooden floor and shattered into tiny pieces. The little girl's eyes widened in shock and fear, and she frantically pulled her hair back as her parents' nonstop argument echoed through the room. The sounds of their argument became louder and louder, and the girl could no longer take it. She covered her ears and cried as she tried to block out the noise."Enough, please!" The little girl screamed, straining her voice. It caught her parents' attention, and they stopped arguing long enough to turn their heads towards her. Her eyes were slightly red from crying, and they were wide open as she looked into her parents' eyes, looking for their souls. As she stared into their eyes, she realized that they had become just as soulless as the chopped husky laying on the floor. She cried out again, hoping that her parents would suddenly snap out of their anger and stop the fight.
The other dog let out a loud bark, causing the father of the little girl to bristle with irritation. He tilted his head to look in the direction of the barking dog and then slowly backed away, with the dog whimpering behind him. Without warning, the father grasped the clipart axe and turned his darkening eyes towards the husky. His body tensed, looking as if he was about to strike the poor animal. With a sinking feeling in her stomach, the little girl watched in horrified silence as her father raised the axe.
She couldn't bear to watch what he was about to do to their precious dog, so she closed her eyes and covered her ears tightly. But the sound of the dog whining and whimpering seemed to be stuck in her mind, and she couldn't shake it off. Tears streamed down her face, and she bit her bottom lip until it bled, unable to do anything to stop what was about to happen.
And just like that, everything fell silent. The little girl strained her ears, desperate to hear something, anything, but all she could hear was the sound of her own breathing. Her eyes were wide in horror as she looked around, still searching for any sign of her mom, her dad, or her dog, but they were gone. She couldn't even hear herself crying anymore. It was as if all sound had vanished from the world.
