2017

Three years had gone by since Y/n Hanemiya committed her crime. The incident had been resolved without much public attention, but now it was finally the day of her release from the Mental Institute. Meanwhile, Kazutora, who had spent eleven long years in Juvenile, had also been released and he eagerly anticipated picking up his sister from the Institution. The absence of their parents had made life incredibly challenging for both of them.

With the assistance of her dedicated personal nurse, Y/n experienced a remarkable recovery during her stay at the institution. Throughout her time within the mental facility, she refrained from forming any friendships, which had unfortunately been the case for quite some time. The reason behind this lack of companionship stemmed from the fact that none of the people within the institution were willing to associate themselves with Y/n. Their perception of her was skewed, believing that the pain inflicted upon her by Sanzu had disrupted her ability to think rationally, ultimately separating her from the realm of reality.

Y/n had a revelation that unveiled the harsh reality that not all people within their inner circle of friends can be fully trusted. It became apparent that those who had displayed kindness towards them in the past may potentially betray them in the future. The sad realization dawned upon Y/n that even those whom they deeply love may not remain by their side for an extended period of time, as life is transient, leaving only one to experience the pain of loss and rightfully labeling it as love.

In Bonten, the overall condition of the people was far from good. Mikey, specifically, had been rendered unconscious due to an unfortunate accident that occurred just the previous week. Adding to the distress, there was an ongoing and distressing situation involving Kakucho and Takeomi's daughter, who had gone missing subsequent to an unlawful relationship being exposed in court. This heartbreaking news continued to weigh heavily on the hearts of everyone in the community, with Rindou, in particular, still engulfed in sorrow over the loss of this person's life.

Mental Institution.
Y/n awoke with a start, her breaths shallow and her body drenched in perspiration, disturbed by the vividness of her dream. The memories of the dream were elusive, but one thing was certain - she had been granted a glimpse into a distant future, precisely nineteen years ahead. The visions that had unfolded before her eyes painted a world that bore no resemblance to the reality she currently inhabited. The stark contrast between the two realms left her mind in disarray and her emotions in a state of bewilderment.

She pondered on the meaning behind that dream, questioning what message it was attempting to convey. The persistent sensation of being forewarned about something lingered within her, but the specific nature of this caution escaped her completely. Clueless about the starting point to seek clarification and enlightenment, she found herself at a loss.

Y/n emerged from her slumber, disoriented and perplexed by the surreal dream she had just experienced. Confusion engulfed her as she aimlessly traversed her bedroom, her thoughts and emotions tumbling chaotically in her mind. The unsettling nature of the dream had left her so rattled that the mere notion of returning to sleep seemed impossible. Seeking solace, she took a seat upon her bed, clutching her forehead tightly with both hands, in a desperate attempt to find stability and alleviate the haze clouding her thoughts.

Out of nowhere, a nurse entered the confinement space, addressing her as "Y/n" with a voice that harbored a delightful tenderness. The nurse seemed to have some discomfort as she disclosed, quite clumsily, that Y/n's brother had extended a friend request on Facebook the previous night. This revelation coaxed a chuckle from Y/n, who couldn't help but find amusement in the nurse's evident awkwardness.
