Police Station. As the police officer sat at the front desk, she twirled a lollipop inside her mouth with a bored look on her face. Suddenly, the phone beside her rang with a sudden loud sound. With an annoyed expression, she picked up the phone and clicked her tongue in annoyance. After a few moments, she scratched her forehead and answered with a nonchalant tone.
"Hello," she said before listening to the person on the other line. The person's voice was trembling, and he spoke with urgency and fear.
"Officer, I heard screaming and shouting from the house next to ours," he said. "I'm concerned because right after it turned twelve o'clock, the screaming stopped and two men appeared in front of the door of the house. I think there might have been a crime. Please come as soon as you can!"
The officer's face twisted with annoyance. She rolled her eyes and let out a deep sigh, which showed that she was clearly not in the mood for this type of call.
"Alright, alright. I'll send a team over to take a look," she said before hanging up the phone. With a heavy sigh, she tossed the phone back onto the receiver and buried her face into her hands. She couldn't believe she had to deal with this. She let out another deep sigh and stood from her seat, straightening out her uniform as she made her way towards the door.
A team of police officers was dispatched to the Hanemiya residence, responding to a call about suspicious activity. They searched the entire house, checking each room, the basement, and the backyard, but found nothing that corresponded to the caller's report.
After a thorough investigation of the property, the lead detective sighed heavily before dialling the police department's non-emergency line to give an update. "As expected, there's nothing to support the caller's claims," he reported. "The house appears to be completely clean, and there are no signs of any suspicious activity. It appears to have been a false alarm."
The woman on the other end of the line rolled her eyes in annoyance, clearly annoyed at the fact that she had to deal with another prank call. "I see. Well, that's that then. Thank you for the update," she responded in a exasperated tone before hanging up the phone.
