haruchiyo's pov.

Taking a seat on the vacant bench, I observed intently the delightful scene of two girls enjoying their ice cream while engaged in lively conversation at a wooden table nearby. The corners of my mouth curled upwards, expressing sheer joy, upon witnessing my girlfriend, with her lustrous black hair, beckoning me over with a gentle wave of her dainty hand. Her endearing gesture was an invitation to join her and my sister, both of whom were also seated at the table.

As I strolled along, my ears caught the sweet sound of my girlfriend's voice uttering the phrase "Akashi Aisa?". Naturally curious, I couldn't help but turn my attention towards her, and she quickly sensed my gaze, leading her to avert her eyes in a moment of embarrassment. Amused by her reaction, I let out a gentle chuckle, appreciating the adorable sight of her blushing cheeks tinged with a delicate shade of pink. To ease the tension, I playfully tousled her hair, finding solace on a wooden stool nearby as she continued to shyly avoid meeting my eyes.

Leaning towards her, I playfully remarked, "Isn't it absolutely enchanting, the sound of your name, Akashi Aisa?" Her response was a gentle punch on my chest, a gesture that only made me appreciate how delicately affectionate my stunning girlfriend could be. With a chuckle, I retorted, "Come on, don't be shy, Akashi. Admit it, you enjoy the way it sounds." Another playful pinch on my arm from her side caused me to wince, but it was all in good fun.

As she tenderly brushed some dust off my uniform, I stood before her, feeling her arms encircle my waist. Drawing closer, I whispered into her ear, my hand slowly brushing her hair to reveal her delicate ear, "I promise you, love, that one day, you will proudly bear the surname Akashi." Finally, I sealed my affectionate words with a soft kiss on her forehead.

Baji Aisa was more than just a girlfriend to me; she was my dawn of love, my first experience of everything.

Gleaming on our relationship, I realize that it was an off beaten path type of voyage, one that I cherish in my heart even to this day. My affection for her ran deep, as she was the kind of woman who inspired a level of devotion that would drive me to protect her fiercely, no matter how tumultuous life became. She demented an innate ability to convey her thoughts without uttering a word, making it effortless for me to understand her intentions. Aisa was truly a one-in-a-billion kind of woman. Everything between us was seemingly perfect, until the moment I had to break the devastating news of her younger brother, Keisuke's untimely demise.

I stood at the door-watching her pack all of her belongings with an intense manner, without uttering a single word about her departure from Japan. Just yesterday, everything seemed fine between us; we even had a pleasant outing to the Roppongi hills along with the Haitani brothers. But now, she returned home to our apartment, visibly distraught.

Feeling a sense of exasperation, I released a long, heavy sigh before approaching her. With a lenient touch, I grasped her delicate wrist and asked faintly, "What happened?"

"I'm leaving Japan," she proclaimed, her voice filled with a mixture of frustration and urgency, as she forcefully swiped her hand away from mine. Caught off guard by her unexpected action, my eyes widened in astonishment, and I instinctively took hold of her arm, seeking an explanation. With a touch of irritation in my tone, I asked, "Is this still related to Baji? Is it about his death?" Looking rather exasperated, she rolled her eyes in response and then proceeded to dismissively brush my hand away once more.

"Yes this is about Keisuke! This is about how he died! This is about how fucked up your gang is!" She erupted into a vehement outburst, forcefully directing her fingers towards my chest.

"What about the promise?" I asked nervously.

"Promises are meant to be broken, Sanzu." After delivering her response with a chilly tone, she left me isolated in the room, leaving my eyes still in a state of surprise and shock due to the sudden eruption of events that had unfolded. My understanding of this chaotic situation is still inadequate, and yet here I stand, witnessing her image gradually fade away in the reflections on the door.
