Hey, Dean-O

Cole stood there in front of Dean, an open bottle of beer resting on his knee as his eyes darted across each of their faces before finally coming to rest on Sam, whose eyes were crazy in the light.

"What's wrong with him?", Cole asked, pointing towards the same guy who had just saw his girlfriend's dead corpse lying at his feet.

"He's...going through a rough time.", Cas replied, cautiously looking at Dean and shrugging his shoulders as if he had nothing else to say about the situation.

"Sammy, he uh...he lost someone. Recently, actually. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't wanna talk about it. So how about we just let it go and talk about you.", Dean replied in his rough voice, his eyes glaring at Cole as if he suspected it wasn't really him.

In that moment, Cas seemed to step forward and grab his fiancé's arm, almost as if he expected him to lunge towards the man in the chair and strangle him until his legs stopped kicking. He shrugged his hand away, stepping closer to the same guy who he almost killed once before. He swore to himself that he would never make that mistake again. Ever.

"Oh, come on, Dean-O. You don't actually think I came here to get your head on a stick, do ya? I just came to say a friendly hello, that's all.", he said with a grin, placing his beer bottle on the table before rising to his feet, his face inches away from Dean's.

Dean grinned before placing his hands on his hips, his shoulders straightening so that he towered over Cole. He felt something, something evil in the room with them. And he knew that the others could feel it too. Because right then and there, Cas grabbed his wrist, attempting to pull him aside so that he could take care of the problem. But, being the stubborn man that he has, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

"You know, Cole, there's a lot I've been meaning to ask you. But hell, let's just save the chit chat and get right down to business.", he said, kicking his legs out from under him so that he landed with a thud on the hard ground.

"Dean!", Sam yelled, moving forward to him only to be stopped by Cas's arm.

"He knows what he's doing, Sam. Believe me.", Cas said to him, rocking the baby as he did so.

Dean's eyes bore deep into Cole's eyes, his arm draped across his throat to pin him down. And just as quick as he took him down, a smirk plastered itself onto Cole's face. It was the type of smirk that sent chills through every bone in your body.

"Who the hell are you?", Dean hissed, his grip tightening on the demon's throat.

Another grin spread across his face as his eyes flicked to yellow, causing his heart to race even faster than before.

"Hey there, Dean. I love what you've done to the place Sam.", he said, craning his neck to look at Sam, then turning back to face Dean. "And you. Ha, you really thought you could start a family?", he asked turning his head to look at the baby in Cas's arms. "It'd be a shame if someone got their hands on your darling little baby. What's her name again? Oh, right, Grace.", he said, making the little girls eyes flutter open at the mention of her name.

"Listen to me, you evil son of a bitch. You lay one hand on her and I'll make sure that you and every other god damn demon out there suffers. Got that?", he asked, retrieving the blade from his belt loop to hold at the demon's throat.

"Ah ah ah.", he said, lifting his hand up to silence him. "I'm sure you haven't forgotten how powerful my brothers and sisters really are. At least, I would hope not, considering that your little brother was the strongest of them all. Hell, he raised our father from the cage. Thanks a bunch, by the way.", he said looking at Sam, causing him to look away.

"Look, I don't know who you-", Dean began but was cut off by the sound of his brother's voice.

"Azazel. If I join you again, if I...if I kill alongside you, you have to promise me you won't hurt them.", Sam said, causing Dean to look at him in astonishment.

"What the hell, Sam? Did you already forget what happened last time you went bat shit crazy? You cut Lucifer's ass free. And now you're gonna prance around like a little pony with the rest of 'em? No, I won't let you do it.", he said, still holding the blade to Azazel's throat.

"Dean, I'll be fi-", he began but was interrupted.

"No Sam, you won't be fine. You know why? Because drinking all that demon blood, no matter how 'pleasing' it is to you, it's only killing you from the inside out. I thought you of all people would understand. I mean come on, have some common sense here, Sammy!", he shouted, causing Grace to begin crying.

His eyes turned towards his fiancé who was swaying back and forth, trying to calm down the little bundle in his arms. Cas looked up at him, his eyes quickly darting towards Sam who was staring at the floor. And after a few minutes of consideration, Dean sat back on his heels, letting the blade clatter to the floor.

"Fine.", he said, rising to his feet and taking the baby from Cas. "You go hang out with your demon buddies. I'll just try not to kill you when you come around to visit.", he hissed, making his way out of the room.

And without another word, Cas left the room too, leaving Sam and Azazel to themselves. A devilish grin played across his face before he rose to his feet, cutting his wrist open so that blood quickly rose to the surface.

"Drink.", he ordered to Sam, holding his arm out to him.

Sam took his forearm in his hands, slowly lifting it towards his mouth, the metallic scent stinging his nose.
