Few Months Earlier

The woman groan as she uses her thumb print to stop her alarm and puts her phone back down on top of her all white Manningtree Minnie drawer nightstand. She sits up, stretch her arms up after removing the comforter from her body and stand on her feet looking at the view. 

"Another glorious day" she said to herself with a smile, enjoying the view of the sun from her wide screen window on the sixth floor. 

She walks to her closet taking out her work outfit; place them gently on her bed including her Vala black leather heels. After she was done, she walks to her bathroom and does her daily routine.

Jasmine Hudson, 34-year old successful and yet single hard worker who loves her job working at the best school which is CSU, California State University. The same school she graduated from getting her Masters and Bachelor's degrees and became an English literature professor. 

She brushes her teeth, use Crest mouth wash, washes her face with soap and turns on the bathtub faucet water room temperature just like how she likes it, adding her favorite Find Your Happiness bubble gel soap. She takes off her undergarment and steps over the tub and sits down. Jasmine sighs in ecstasy as she soaks her body under water.

"Alexa; play motivation from my playlist." She said with her eyes closed.

"Playing motivation from Jasmine's playlist" Alexa responded back.

"I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls, I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles." As the playlist continued, Jasmine repeated every word with her eyes closed, relaxing her mind including her body staying positive. 

After she bathe herself for fifteen minutes, she sighs standing up and stepped over the tub, letting the bubbles including water drained and stood in front of her mirror, looking at her reflection.

"I am beautiful, I am strong, I am independent and I am worthy of my happiness." She says to herself with a smile on her face, part of her routine whenever she gets ready for work or ready to go to bed. Jasmine grabs her towel from the towel rack and gets ready for her day.

After Jasmine gotten dressed, she ate her blueberry yogurt with peaches and water, packed her lunch and left her condo. She headed to her BMW and pushes the trunk button to put her work bag in the backseat including her lunch. She got inside her car, putting on her shades while starting on the engine with her other hand and headed to her destination before she goes to work. 

A good thirty-five minute drive later, she parks her car, looks at her reflection from her rearview mirror and steps out carrying her all-black Christian Louboutin purse with her head held up like a model as she catches eyes from few men gawking at her.

"Good morning Miss Campbell, would you please let Dr. Sharlet know that I'm here for my appointment?" Jasmine asks after greeting her Dr. Assistant with a smile.

"Yes ma'am and good morning to you as well." The assistant greeted back, picking up her work phone and dial her boss number. "Mrs. Sharlet? Your seven o'clock appointment miss Hudson is here.....yes ma'am alright. You can go right ahead."
