Wukong sighed, rubbing his face free of sweat, "You are no joke when it comes to teaching, bud. Have you ever taught before..?"
Red Son scoffed, sitting down beside the monkey and offering him fruit, "No. And besides, it is of utmost importance that we teach you well. Otherwise the fire will destroy everything." He paused for a moment, hesitantly leaning against the shorter of the two.
"...How are your eyes?"
Wukong sighed, activating his Gold Vision momentarily, "...Only my powers work. I can see magic signatures and souls...but nothing else. I can see nothing." Arms wrapped around the king, surprising him, "...I thought you weren't much of a hugger, Red."
"I'm not. But you are, and it seems you need some comforting." Wukong smiled, "Thanks. Now, how about we get back to training?"
---
Macaque's ears flickered, "I know where they are. There's a temple close by, we just need to get there quickly." Nezha shuffled anxiously, "The Lady Bone Demon is close by. Should we not distract her?" MK frowned, "What? We can't split up! We're stronger if we stick together, right? So just-- Don't leave."
Sandy nodded, "MK is right, Lady Bone Demon seems like a team effort! Who knows what she'll do if one of us is alone." Macaque grimaced, "A whole lot of bad, that's what."
They flew over tree tops, eyeing their surroundings. Mei gasped, leaning forward, "Hey, are they at that temple?!" Macaque leaned in with her, flaring out his ears, "...Yes, actually."
---
Wukong jumped, growling, "Somethings heading to us." Red Son hummed, grabbing the ginger by the arm, "It's the airship, your little friend group has found us." The monkey perked up, blank eyes moving upwards as a grin formed along his face.
"WUKONG! IT'S USSSS!" Two bodies collided with him, and the king laughed joyously, "Aw, you guys! You're okay!" More people joined the hug, disorienting him a bit as he identified each member, "Tang, Pigsy, Sandy-- Mo! Hi!"
They suddenly parted, and Wukong giggled, holding his hands out in front of him, "Wha-- Where'd you guys run off to, huh?" He waved his hands in front of him before finally touching someone.
The body stood still, and Wukong patted them again, "...Who is this..?" He sniffed the air, gasping softly, "Mac..?"
His grin fell into a scowl as he punched Macaque, yowling, "You IDIOT! What in the world were you thinking-- Sacrificing yourself and shit! YOU--" Arms wrapped around him, "I know. I'm sorry, my king." Wukong sniffled, hugging Macaque back, "I nearly lost my best warrior."
"I know. I'm sorry."
They parted, and Macaque cleared his throat nervously, "Wukong... Are your eyes..?" The king scoffed with a bitter smirk, "Yeah. They got worse, I can't see anything anymore unless I use my Gold Vision."
MK huffed angrily, "That's not fair!" Wukong shrugged, "Doesn't matter now, bud. We have an ice queen to get rid of, remember? And I think I have a plan... But I need MK to help me out with tweaking it."
---
Wukong took in the freezing air, huffing, "Alright. I'll distract her. You know the drill, sabotage the mech, distract the thrall, collect the staff."
The king bolted forward in a flurry of flames, landing swiftly where his Gold Vision led him. The top of the mech was beyond freezing, ice and snow melted beneath him as he set his body ablaze with copper-black flames.
"Oh, my. It seems you have gathered power that does not belong to you." A sweet voice descended before him, and the monkey held back a snarl, "This ends here and now!" He moved quickly, melting the shards of prestine ice thrown at him.
