Chapter 3- 'The Next day'

Hermione sat in potions with Harry and Ron, they were brewing a wart removal potion. Harry and Ron had partnered up as always, and she worked with Luna.

"Add one glow worm." Hermione read aloud as she added a glow worm to the mix.
Their potion started to turn green, which meant they were on the right track.
"Good job Mione" Luna said in her usual soft voice. Hermione smiled and continued to stir their potion.

When Goyle walked by bumping into Hermione and making her nock into a glass vial making the vial fall ground, it shattered and the substance in it started melting the floor.

Snape came stalking over, she redder than a tomato.

"Can you not watch where you're going Granger?" he hissed waving his wand making the substance of the floor vanish.

"I-I was just mixing my potion when Goyle ran into me and- "she started but Snape cut her off, "20 points for Gryffindor!! 10 for being a klutz, and 10 for blaming your peers! Class dismissed" he said and walked away.

Hermione felt tears prick her eyes, but she wouldn't let them fall. She straightened her back collected her stuff and left the class as fast as she could.

* Later that day *

Hermione was walking to the library to turn in a book when she heard someone whispering but wait she recognized that voice. Malfoy!

She tip toed to the corner and peeled around, she saw Draco holding Goyle by the front of his robes and had him shoved against the wall.

"If you ever mess with Granger again, I'll personally kill you myself" he snarled.
"B-but she's just a mud blood!" Goyle said causing Hermione to wince as if she had been slapped.

"That may be so, but I'll deal with her, spread the word, the Granger girl is mine to bully. No one else's!" he snarled and shoved Goyle into the wall and stalked off down the hallway.

Hermione turned and ran down the hall like her life depended on it, because at the moment, she felt it did.

As she arrived at her dorm she was Bombarded by Ron and Harry.

" Where have you been Mione you could have gotten caught" Ron said worriedly.
"But I didn't!" she said with a wide smile.
"Why are you so happy?" Harry asked curiously.

"The excitement of sneaking out I guess now I'm heading to bed, good night." she said shooing them out and shutting her door. She leaned against it for a moment then let out a quiet giggle as to not wake her dormmate, Lavender Brown, and flopped on her bed. Crookshanks hopped on her bed and laid on her chest. As she stroked his soft fur, she fell into a sweet dream that involved a very attractive boy.
