An Outing

It was just another day of working online on a muted call with the group. Akito looked over the lyrics that Mafuyu had just shared with him to go over the song Kanade composed. Just when Akito was going to unmute and make a suggestion, Kanade beat him to it. "Umm. . .I have a question for everyone. . ." Kanade spoke softly into her headphone mic. Akito immediately heard the sound of Mafuyu unmuting her mic to respond to Kanade without hesitation. "Yes?" Tsukasa the Akito following.

"I was thinking, since we've been working so hard, should we go out for a bit of a break?" Kanade asked, creating a deeper silence in the call. "Sure. It would be nice to take a break." Mafuyu answered yet again without hesitation this time with a hint of sincerity and gratitude. Both Tsukasa and Akito knew how much Mafuyu loved and Kanade meant to her. After all, Kanade has done so much for her. "That would be a lovely idea, Kanade" Akito answered, taking a break from his own work. "Alright." Tsukasa answered, it was short, but Akito knew Tsukasa meant it and was also grateful for Kanade's suggestion. "Do you have a location in mind?" Mafuyu asked.

"Not yet, I was thinking at the mall or a caffe. . .do you guys have any suggestions?"
"I'm fine with either."
"The mall would be nice, since there would be multiple places to go through."
"Alright, is everyone fine with that?"

Confirming with everyone, they logged off as they agreed to meet up within the next hour. Shutting down his programs, Akito also shut off his computer and went to check on Ena. Softly knocking on his sister's door, Akito opened the door slightly. He saw that his sister was working on an art piece. "Ena," Akito called out, and the girl violently spun her head around to face Akito. "Yes?"

"I'm going out for a bit, I'll be back around dinner, do you need anything while I'm out?"
Akito said, specifically not mentioning Kanade and Mafuyu.
"No thank you. . .although If you go to a pancake cafe, can you bring some home for me please? . ."
"Of course, anything else?"
"No. . ."
"Alright, call me if you need anything"

Closing the door behind him, Akito checked if he had missed anything while packing to leave the house. "Alright. . .I have everything. . .I should probably go now. . .since Kanade is probably there. . ." Akito mumbled to himself. Boarding the bus, Akito sat at the back, leaning on the window watching the bus pass by houses and buildings while he listened to some pieces that Toya had played. Realizing he was at his stop, Akito hurriedly got off the bus as the doors had begun to close. Running to the entrance of the mall, Akito could see two familiar faces. A shorter girl with long gray hair, leaning on a taller girl with short hair and a deep purple colour. Standing beside them, talking to them was a taller boy with long strawberry hair tied back.

The four met up and began their little outing together, not knowing what and who they would run into.
