Asahina Mafuyu

She still remembers it fairly clearly. Her mother had just began to regain her control of her after returning home from Kanade's house. She wasn't sure how her mother began to control her again, but she knew her mother definitely was controlling her again. On nightcord talking with her groupmates at 1am as usual, they were finishing up their song. Quickly tapping on her keyboard and she heard her mother's footsteps approach her room. "Sorry guys, my mother is coming, I have to go." Mafuyu quickly said as she began to shut off her computer. "Alright, see you tomorrow." Kanade replied. Everyone began to say goodbye. Right when Mafuyu went to click the end call button, the door opened. "Mafuyu. Why aren't you asleep yet?" Mafuyu's mother asked.

"Sorry mother, I was just finishing up some homework."
"Oh, then you wouldn't mind showing me what you were working on, would you?"
". . ." Mafuyu didn't answer. She knew that the Nightcord members could hear them. She knew that all of them were staying quiet so that Mafuyu wouldn't get in trouble.
"Uhh. . .of course. . . Let me reload it for you!"
"Good."

Mafuyu could feel that she was shaking. He voice was beginning to tremble. She moved her shaking hands to her keyboard to load up one of her assignments that she had finished. "See? I was just finishing it." Mafuyu said, trying not to let her voice shake too much. "Very good, now go to bed."

"Yes mother"

Mafuyu watched her mother leave her room, shutting the door behind her. "Sorry you guys had to listen to that." Mafuyu apologized. "It's ok. . .your mother sure has been checking up on you more as of late." Ena said.

"Yeah, she doesn't sleep till around this time now."
"I must go now."
"Good night, Mafuyu"

Mafuyu finally said her goodnight before logging off.

The next evening when she returned home, her mother was waiting for her. "Maufyu, I'd like to talk to you about your group."

"Mother?"
"Sit down."
"Yes mother."
"I want you to quit your group."
". . ."
"Do you hear me?"
"I. . .I. I don't understand."
"I want you to quit your music group."
"Why?"
"It's affecting you too much."
"But!"
"Don't argue with me."
". . ."
"You have until the end of this week to quit before I go and do it for you. Do you understand?"
". . .yes. . ."

Mafuyu went to her room. She had to do something about it. She didn't want to break apart the group. She'd try to talk about to Nightcord late that night.

"I have to quit. . ."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean I have to quit."
"But. . .Mafuyu?"
"I'm sorry. . .this wasn't my choice. . .if I don't, my mother. . ."
"It's always your mother isn't it!"
". . ."
"You can't even fend for yourself"
"Ena. . .give Mafuyu a break. . .her mother isn't that cooperative. . ."
"Oh yeah? Mizuki, you tell me. Have you ever spoken to her mother? You haven't. So stay out of it!"

Everyone on discord began to argue. Mafuyu didn't know how to stop it. An hour later, the argument began to settle down. "Whatever. Just quit. If we are going to continue to do this we might as well stop it all."

"Ena-"
"No. We are disbanding after our next release and that's final. We can continue to chat or whatever but because Mafuyu here can't stop having her mother interrupt us, we will stop making music together."
"Ena. . .it's not Mafuyu's fault-"
"Mafuyu are you finished with the lyrics?"
". . .yes"
"Mizuki, your done with the animations and Kanade you're done with the track, right?"
"Yes. . ."

Mizuki and Kanade answered simultaneously. "Good. Then we will finish mixing, and then announce our disband. That's final." Ena said.
Just as Ena said, it was only a week later. The had posted their final song and announcement. They left their accounts up but everything would no longer be used. It hurt all the members of Nightcord. Mafuyu had began to regret not being able to defend herself. She should've done what Ena told her. To argue against her mother. It took multiple weeks, Mafuyu thought of Nightcord everyday. It was until she gathered her courage to contact Kanade. The two of them began talk again. Soon Akito found her. Mafuyu was hesitant at first since she felt that what happened to Nightcord would happen to Passion Seekers as well, but Akito made a deal to her, if she joined him, they would definitely find a way to escape and find hope again. Mafuyu joined on the condition that Kanade was allowed to join as well, as she felt that she wouldn't be able to do this without Kanade and that Akito would end up needing Kanade's help.
