Maybe she isn't as bad as I thought

Gemini's pov

"If I wasn't clear enough earlier then I might as well say it again. I'm going to lock you two in this room until you get along. No buts." Libra said opening the door. Leo shrugged as if to show that she disagreed with him as the door closed behind them.

A couple of seconds later I could hear Libra scolding, what I assume is the others.

"This is all your fault." A certain girl accused pointing her finger at me. I rolled my eyes. How was this my fault? She was the one who provoked me.

"Only because you were asking for it." She replied and I realised I had said that out loud.

"How was I asking for it?"

"You accused me of being a liar." She reminded.

"Because you are!"

"I'm not, I don't even know what gave you the idea of me being a liar!" She continued raising her voice.

"You lie all the time. Whenever someone asks you something you always lie about your opinion." Pisces didn't reply on that statement so I decided that I could carry on with my explanation.

"And you lie about yourself, acting all 'goody' whenever you talk to anyone else."

"Oh" she smirked. "I think I know what's going on. Is little Gem jealous because I'm more liked here? It must hurt that I get more attention from your so called 'best friend'." she quoted.

She laughed at my confused expression. "Or maybe you like the term boyfriend better."

"He is not my boyfriend."

"Thought so because I seriously don't know what he sees in you. You look pretty average with your have blond hair and sea-green eyes." She said after examining me a while.

"And it's not like you have a good personality so it can't be that either."

"I will have you know that I have a wonderful personality." I said offended.

She rubbed her chin. "Maybe the reason to why he is with you is because he pities you? Did he ever do something that he wants to make up?"

I thought about it. I mean, we did make up and he promised to be nicer and more considering about my feelings. And I really do notice how he tries to talk to me in a different way and not in the way he used to. Maybe Pisces was right. Maybe Cancer was only doing this because of pity when he realised that I had feelings for him. Maybe all this was just his way of telling me that he wants nothing to do with me. My eyes widened as I realised something.

If he really didn't want anything with me then why was he doing such a big effort to be with me? He could have just let me be instead of running after me to try to solve the problem. If he really did this because he pitied me then why was he still staying? Wouldn't it make sense for him to feel a sense of relief that everything was okay and he could go back to his normal life.

I looked at her and smirked. "You know, you almost got me there. Too bad what you said wasn't true."

"And you know that because?"

"Cancer would never do that because he is my best friend and for real this time." I felt my cheeks heating up. Gosh that sounded so weird.

Luckily for me Pisces didn't notice my embarrassment or she did she didn't care about it.
"Must be good for you then."

And both of us returned to the being awkward again for the rest of the time. Even through the silence her words rang in my ears. What did she mean by that?
