Three

Jungkook was in the middle of his daily reconciliation of their department's invoices and payments when their head manager suddenly barged into their floor, cursing and yelling frustratedly.

He shouted to the top of his lungs as he walked to his office, "Arghh! Fuck this life! Those higher ups think they're the gods! What a douche--" Mr. Lim, the department head, abruptly stopped when he passed in front of Jungkook's desk.

He then shouted, "You! Mr. Jeon! Come to my office this instant!!"

Jungkook's eyes widened as everyone in their floor was watching them. Though he already had an idea what's going on, he was still surprised at how Mr. Lim handled this.

"Huh- ah yes, y-yes Sir." He then stood up and straightened his oversized coat before walking behind their boss.

Inside Mr. Lim's office, Jungkook carefully closed the door and slightly bowed at the older.

As soon as the head manager took his seat, he hit the table with the folder in his hand and shouted, "How could you turn this matter over to the HR, huh??!!! Don't you have any respect for me, Mr. Jeon?!! What did I ever do to you?!!"

"B-but Sir, I have called your attention regarding those missing inventories that had paid invoices - but you ignored them. I had to take action, or I will be in question."

"Fuck that excuse! You're just passing the blame to me!! That's your responsibility to find those payments! Do you have any idea how embarrassing it was for me delivering the reports you prepared in front of the CFO and Chairman Jin?!!"

"Th-those were the correct reports, Sir. We really lost a lot of money last month. If you want, Sir, I can explain them in detail to the CFO. I will--"

"You sure will!! You're summoned by the HR to report tomorrow to the higher ups!!"

"W-what?!"

"You'll have to take responsibility for this and don't you ever dare put the blame on me, Mr. Jeon!!"

"But I- I must speak of the truth, Sir--" Jungkook paused as he saw a smirk on Mr. Lim's face.

The old man let out a scoff and said, "The CFO and Chairman Jin were greatly disappointed in you."

"W-what?! Chairman J-jin?"

"The HR department head wanted you to report with me since I am your supervisor, but then Chairman Jin said you should come alone. He was displeased by your job and your unprofessionalism. This might even cause you to lose that employee of the year nomination.

I agree with him, you know. How can you be a good accountant of this team when you don't support your seniors at all? Instead, you push them and point fingers at them so you can get out of the blame!!"

"Th-that is not true, Sir! I do support you and our team in all our projects. But I don't support wrongdoings at all. So I had to--"

"Are you accusing me of doing something illegal, Mr. Jeon?!!"

"B-but Sir--"

"Aigoo-- that's what I'm talking about! And this is exactly why Chairman Jin and the CFO were disappointed at the report you made." Mr. Lim flashed a sarcastic smile at the younger, which shut Jungkook silent.

"So, I suggest you get ready for tomorrow. Or better yet - just quit and don't show up. That's the best thing to do instead of showing your disgusting face to Chairman Jin, got it?! Now get the fuck outta here!!"
