"Hmm- Jeon Jungkyee huh.." The old man paused to ponder, then glared at his grandson, "Why would you date an employee?!! You know you're not supposed to take an interest in the employees!"
"I-- well, I couldn't help it, I guess." Jin said, then let out a soft sigh, relieved that he had somehow escaped another day of his grandfather pestering him to get married. "So, please.. just give us more time pop-pop. I will introduce her when the right time comes. Since we're still in the dating status, we're not yet sure if this will work. So we're still discreet about this."
"But son, it bothers me a bit that she's a commoner. She might have a difficult time adjusting to your status." Seohun expressed his concern.
"I thought you said it's not important to you if I marry someone who's not from a chaebol family, as long as I marry?"
"Yes, I know I've said that. However, someone from at least the higher class would do. I am just worried that an average class citizen would break down in the middle of it all due to the pressure your relationship would bring. I don't want you to feel the burden too, Seokjin."
"You worry too much, pop-pop. It's going to be fine. Just please trust me. Now, can we wrap this up because I still have a meeting?!"
"Okay then." The old man stood up, "I still have a lot of things to attend to, now that I know you already have someone."
Jin stood up but he rolled his eyes, "Pop-pop, don't even think about looking into her background. I'm going to lock her staff profile. Just please wait for me to introduce her, okay? You'll just waste your time."
"Yeah, yeah. Carry on.."
"I will walk you outside, Sir." Yoongi said, then he turned to Jin, "I'll go ahead and check the boardroom for your next meeting. Please be there in fifteen minutes."
"Yes, I will. Thank you. Pop-pop, please take care on your way." Jin bowed before his grandfather who already headed out, followed by Yoongi.
Jin then let out a deep sigh as soon as the door was shut closed. He then went to the corner table to quickly make himself a cup of coffee as he was already feeling stressed.
But his eyebrows went furrowed when he heard certain noises that was coming from his workstation desk. He slowly walked towards it and almost jumped when he saw someone crawling out from under his desk.
"Oh fuck!! Who the fuck are you!! Secur--"
"Wait- wait, Chairman Jin!" Jungkook quickly stood up and bowed repeatedly before Jin as he said, "I'm sorry, Sir. Sorry!! It's me--"
"Y-you're, you're the senior accountant from Subsidiary 17, right?!" Jin said, scanning Jungkook from head to toe. But his gaze stopped and stayed at his well-sculpted abs, exposed by his torn dress shirt.
Jin gulped and licked his lips lowkey. But when his eyes went back to Jungkook's face - whose eyes were wide, round like a doe's and lips slightly pouted evidenced by his timid expression, Jin softly chuckled to himself.
"What the hell am I even thinking--" Jin whispered to himself as he closed his eyes momentarily. Then he sighed and stared at Jungkook again, "What are you doing under my desk, dressed like that?!"
"Oh! Oh, uhm-" Jungkook quickly hugged his waist to cover his exposed stomach, then he bowed again to apologize, "Sorry, Sir. Something came up so I accidentally had my shirt ripped. I really came here for a meeting with you, but then you suddenly came while my shirt was looking like this so I had to h-hide."
Jin shook his head a bit, he calmly said, "Stand up straight and put your arms to the side. That's a disrespectful posture in front of me."
"Sorry, Sir." Jungkook did as told, even though he could feel the cold air on his stomach.
