Chapter 3

Billi was laying on her bed with her head in the pillow, she was trying so hard to stay strong but it

hurt too bad, She missed her mom and dad so much. She knew Andrew had no way of knowing

that her mothers last words to her were don't be long supper will be ready soon. How was she ever

going to get over this, how many more times was she going to run off like that with

no obvious explanation.  Andrew will start to think she's crazy and change his mind about helping

her. She swore she wouldn't cry yet here she was doing just that.  It was going to be impossible not

to lose it once in a while, who wouldn't when faced with what she had been through? Finally she felt

she had cried enough and was about to get up and go face Andrew when there was a knock on her

door. She rushed to the pitcher of water to clean her face before opening the door not wanting who

ever it was no notice she was crying. Boy's don't cry. 

  "Just a second I will be right there." Billi said  Andrew waited wondering if he really heard crying or

if it was just his imagination. Would he be able to stay strong after going through what this boy had

been through? He was not so sure he could. 

 Billi opened the door and saw it was Andrew, "I am so sorry my Lord for running away." she said "

There is no need to be sorry son I was just worried and came to check on you." replied Andrew. " I

am fine I just forgot something."  Andrew decided to let it go he was not going to bring up that he

heard Billi cry knowing it would embarrass him. no man whats people to know that he was crying, it

would make him look weak. Plus if anyone deserved to cry it was this boy. So Andrew instead said "

I just wanted to check on you and see if you were going to the river or if you wanted to just take a

bath in here?"  " I will be fine down at the river no need to make the servants work harder just for

me." she said. " OK then I will leave so you can get washed up and see you at supper." 

 Billi rushed back down stairs and found her clothes had been picked up and placed on a crate

near the door, so she grabbed them and headed for the river hoping there weren't any soldiers still

there. "Thank goodness," she thought as she found a nice secluded spot far away from where the

other soldiers had bathed.

 She started removing her clothes and unwrapping her breast when she thought she heard

someone so she just jumped into the river. She was not prepared for it being so cold and it took her

breath away. She knew she needed to hurry before someone came looking for her so she grabbed

the soap and quickly washed her hair and body. She had no idea that she was being watched or

she would never have come out of the water.

As she was wrapping the binding back around her breasts Andrew watched in shock, how could he

have not know Billi was a girl? How could she not have told him from the start did she think he was

some monster who was going to rape her? Upon thinking about it more he realized that Billi had
