VIRTUAL LOVER

Her voice sounded robotic
And words poetic
Such a similar taste
Kept us together
Over the net
With no picture
Nor imagination of each other
Only flexing through words
Weaving our stories
And finding solace in each other
Till we were strangers no more
A picture of her cast on the back of my brain
A picture stitched out of texts
Sweet were her messages
Ever fixing my fingers on screen
Tickling it to amuse her
Keeping me at the edge of the chair
Making me think I was born to text her
Sweet she was,
Only as a virtual soul
Never met even in dreams
Neither hope to meet in heaven and hell
With time, strings of love pulled
From one end to the other
First, I pulled
Not once or twice or thrice
I pulled again
Until I dived into the favorite spot
She responded with a mutual feeling
So in love we fell
With no idea of who we were
Only connected by waves of technology
What a beautiful lie!
What a simulation!
A few shades of imagery came through
What illusion!
But never reality
We kept falling
Until it went beyond
A need to touch arrived
A need to kiss roamed
A need to hug stroked
Nobody to find each other
To my virtual lover
Seated beyond seas
Having sex and wine
Over there, with physical lovers
