Taeyeon's POV:
As BTS finished the leg of the tour they were on, I really got used to being alone with Cho-hee. I was proud of myself, not even 20 years old yet, and I was handling the household, a toddler, and online university. All of my anxiety about me not being able to do it was disappearing. The only thing I still had anxiety over was ensuring Cho-hee was always safe, just like any good parent would do for their child. Though not mine, obviously.
I was out shopping one day with Kun, WinWin, and Renjun from NCT babysitting Cho-hee for me so I could run my errands faster. Renjun gave me pause about leaving Cho-hee, but he seemed so much more relaxed and less likely to explode on someone when he was with Kun and WinWin. Kun and WinWin must've realized what was going through my mind as I looked at Renjun.
"Don't worry, Dongsaeng," WinWin started. "Renjun is less likely to explode when he's not around the members of Dream for an extended period of time."
"Not to mention, he wouldn't dare let himself get out of control while we're watching a baby," Kun said, looking to Renjun. "Would you, Huang Renjun?"
I could see Renjun gulp, looking at his elders. Then he turned to look at me.
"Don't worry, Taeyeon-ah," he started, smiling at me, making me realize how beautiful he looked when he smiled. "I promise I will be a perfectly well-behaved babysitter for Cho-hee. If I get overwhelmed, I will let my geges take her and do something else, like ready her bottle or something. I will not start freaking out like I do when Haechan is around."
My tension eased up and I smiled at my elder. All of them were my elders, but most of the time, people forget I was born the same year as Chenle, not Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Haechan, and YangYang, because I had Cho-hee and married Yoongi. I didn't understand.
"Thank you guys so much for offering to do this for me. All of you," I said, looking at them. "I could've taken Cho-hee, but then what would take me an two hours to do on my own would turn into an all day thing, and Cho-hee would probably get too fussy for me to even finish everything. So, really, Oppas, I appreciate your help today."
I bowed to them and they bowed back. Kun went to go get Cho-hee, who had started to fuss right after I'd thanked them. Before I could walk out the front door, WinWin grabbed my arm.
"Taeyeon-ah," he started. "Are you sure you don't want one of us to go with you? Only one of us really needs to baby-sit. One or both of the others can go with you to help."
"It's okay, WinWin-gege," I began. "I'm just running some errands. Plus, I have my driver's license now, so I can drive Yoongi's car. I shouldn't be gone more than two and a half hours. Besides, I think at least two of you should be here with Cho-hee. I'd feel bad leaving someone alone with her."
He let go of me and I left the condo, making my way to Yoongi's car. Just before I even got to my first errand, I regretted saying no to WinWin.
"We heard that you survived childbirth," I heard a voice behind me say.
The voice was only vaguely familiar. When I turned to see who had spoken to me, I wanted to turn invisible. Right in front of me were the three upperclassmen from my high school, now sophomores in university, who forced themselves on me at the end of my second year of high school. I tried to turn around and run, but one of them grabbed me before I could get far.
"Do you know what your husband did to me the night you had the baby, Taeyeon-ah?" one of the others asked me, which I didn't. "He punched me and threatened to make not just me, but all of us disappear because he's from Daegu. Who does he think he is?"
