Falling for someone was never a plan.
Dating, relationships..... All this was never my cup of tea specially after watching my 'loving parents' together. Watching them is all i need to keep myself in limits. I have dreams to fulfill, a legacy to continue and a burden to handle. I am the worst guy, she ever deserves.
Although I love spending time with her but i can't let her fall for me or let me fall for her either.I can't hurt her feelings.
"Bro let's go, we will be late for school. " Advik says enthusiastically while knocking the door and interrupting my thoughts. " I am not coming today, I have- dad needs my help in some of his office work. " I am very bad at hiding, I just realised. "Hmm, your father doesn't need your help but you need someone.... With intellectual mind just like me you know, the most intellectual person. "
"You and intellectual? Tell me a better joke buddy and stop smiling like a six years old child. " He gives me the side eye expression and then sits beside me to hear me out (again). No matter how stupid he acts but he has the patience and empathy to listen me out and also the guts to have my back everytime I have a fight.
Anyways, back to the present
I take a deep breath and tell him what all happened. At some part his face lits up and then suddenly he looks sad, then surprised. This little psychopath.
"Wait, wait! You are telling me all this now? Like.... I feel like punching your face right now. " He is angry now, I guess. "Stop lecturing me and get me out of this."
" Give me some time to process it atleast"
" I don't have that, we will be late" Again he gives me those side eyes. "What do you want me to do?Tujhe apna personal robot dikhta hun kya?!
(Translation:You think I am an AI chatbot or a robot?) You ask and I answer immediately! You mess up every time and then present it in front of me like an emergency for me to solve it. I just don't get it why God is favouring you so much and look at you, ungrateful human. "
"Please ELABORATE how he is favouring me and not punishing me for my past life sins,can you? "
" A charming , badaas and cool girl likes you and look at you, running away from her... And not only her, you stay away from girls like they'll eat you . "
" I don't need a relationship advice, just get me out of it. I don't want relationship and all this shit. "
He sighs, stands ,then claps and picks his bag and walks away. WALKS AWAY! I follow him on the stairs bugging him and asking him to get me out of this kinda problem one last time.
" Yaar, just one last time. I promise I won't even look at any girl now, forget all this friendship and all,pleaseee."
" Fine, fine. Give me some time to think. Until then don't be 'too friendly' to her. Also, you can still rethink and change your mind about it. " I slap him in a not so serious way and we head towards the school campus. May God favours me again, my heart pleads but the brains shuts him up hoping for something good.
