dear reader,

with this collection of my innermost thoughts and feelings, i hand you my most delicate and pure writing. this is different than what many of you will know me for, and yet I feel somehow that it is right to share it with you.

these poems document a series of many feelings as well as many various events in my life. some may resonate with you and others may not, but that is the beauty of writing and I hope you can appreciate the art despite either of these.

as a writer, an infinite combination of words bounce through my mind every second of the day. I often take walks to clear my head, and it is most often during these walks through nature that my feelings are clarified and they come to me as words on paper. these poems are often examples of this phenomenon. I find writing my feelings down has helped me not only accept, but also understand, the complexities and intricacies that come with being a human being living in a world as hectic as this one, and it helps me appreciate the simple and humane things more.

please, feel free to document any thoughts you have while reading a poem—it is my greatest joy as an English major to discuss poetry in its literary form, as well as in a more simplistic, feeling-based form! thank you for your support <3
