TWs: Missing person, self pity, mention of emotional abuse and neglect---
Izumi stared at the missing poster with her brother's huge shining grin plastered onto the paper, his name and her parents phone number scribbled below the picture. She clutched in between her hands, before crumbling it up and throwing it across the room. She sighed sinking to her feet.
She was still struggling to wrap her mind around he whole thing, did she cause this? Katsuki and her other friends at school have been avoiding her. Her parents kept on giving her the sad glances throughout the day and doing random things to make her feel better.
She knew she didn't deserve anything, she was just glad nobody else knew what she did to him. Izumi thought the others didn't want to say anything with the fear they would have their chances of being a hero removed. But she really couldn't blame them. She should have had her chances of becoming a hero removed. Why did she do any of that! 'Take a swan dive off the roof and pray for a quirk in your next life?!' Why did she say that!
Sighing she put down the paper, wiping a small tear from the corner of her eye. Izumi knew that she had to go soon. Her dad had a surprise waiting for her at the beach close to her house. She remembered seeing Izuku their, he would rummage through the garbage to look for small things to create gadgets.
She didn't know why her father wanted to go there, it used to be pretty but was now filled with trash. Izumi saw no purpose for sticking next to something that someone else could fix and probably better. But she would never admit that out loud. All these narcissistic thoughts did not make a hero.
Pushing herself up from her sitting position, she walked over to her mother about to tell her that she was heading out to meet Dad when she saw that she was hunched over a picture book, frantically flipping through the pictures looking for, something? Izumi didn't't know, she didn't really care either.
She looked over to the clock seeing as she was about to be late, she quickly ran about grabbing her stuff and stuffing a notebook in it, not realizing it was her brother's. "Gotta go Mom, see ya later!"
"Bye... hon." Izumi blinking in confusion, her mother sounded so quiet so fragile it concerned her and slightly worried her. But she didn't have time to fret right now she was going to meet her dad. But she will ask her mom about it later once she got back with dad. Probably for the best anyways.
She shot out of their apartment and down the stairs out of the apartment complex. On her way down she tied her green hair into its usual ponytail. She then jogged to the beach with her backpack hanging off of one shoulder.
Once she approached the trashed Beach she saw the outline of her father. When she got closer she could see his frail body. Apparently he had an accident a while back causing him to become sick for quite a while. He would occasionally cough up blood which was very concerning but he would insist there was not that bad. She still loved him very much though.
"Dad!" Izumi called out waving her hand as she approached her dad's slim and scrawny figure. He turned around with a smile that was as big as he could muster. Nearly closing his sharp blue eyes.
"Izumi! I have a question for you." He said with a more serious tone after saying her name. She blinked not fully understanding why she was right here in the first place. He then gave her a lopsided smile before saying his question.
Would you like to take my power, One For All, to become a strobger and better hero?"
Izumi's eyes shot wide, "h-how is that possible."
