Michael hadn't been back in his office ten minutes when he heard the sound of Allen's voice. He looked up from his computer to find him walking into his office. Michael knew he would be back to see him.

"I didn't think you would be back so fast. I stopped by to see if you took care of that favor for me." Allen smiled as he stood in front of his desk.

"I sure did. I took it home to our house."

"I don't like your tone of voice. Do you have a problem with me? Could this be about me seeing your little sister?" He baited him. "Oh, wait a minute. Niyah isn't your sister, is she?"

That's when Michael got up from behind his desk and walked around to where Allen was standing. He folded his arms across his chest as he stood in front of him. Michael looked him dead in the eye. The look on both men faces was serious.

"I know you would love to find a reason for me not to date your sister. There I go again, calling her your sister."

"You're right. I don't want you seeing Niyah."

"I'm interested in her. I love spending time with her. In fact, I look forward to spending even more time with her. There's nothing you can do about it. Niyah's a grown woman. She can see anyone she wants."

Michael interrupted him.

"Anyone but you. The last thing she needs in her life right now is another asshole! I'm going to make sure she sees you for the piece of shit you are!"

Michael smiled at him, returned to his desk and continued working.

Now it was his turn to get up under Allen's skin. He knew Michael meant every word.

"We both can have any woman we want. I want Niyah and I will have her. You know, it's strange. You sound more like a jealous man, instead of one who's trying to look out for someone he loves."

"Allen, you can take it either way you like. The result is still the same." He smiled. "If I were you, I wouldn't get my hopes up," Michael told him, not even looking up from his computer screen.

"If I was you, I would get used to the idea. Niyah and I will be together. It's a matter of time," Allen told him, as he walked out of his office, passing Emonie. "Hey, Emonie." He hugged her. "Listen, I want to thank you for hooking me up with Niyah. She's wonderful. You know, all of us should get together and get some lunch. Why don't you give her a call?"

Michael knew this was war. He prayed it was a war he could win for both of their sakes.

Emonie walked in and stood in front of his desk.

"I'm almost scared to ask what that was all about. Look, we have to talk. What's going on between you and Rabbit is crazy. You have to say something to her. She's at home right now, crying."

"Now isn't a good time."

"Michael, listen. It was a mistake. She was drunk. Rabbit hates Chris. He cheated on her. Not to mention, he's been giving her a hard time lately."

"What about her and Allen? I know she likes him. Allen has made it clear he wants to get to know her. Did she have sex with him?"

"She fell asleep on his sofa. She wouldn't lie to me. I believe her." Emonie had a seat.

"If I don't do something fast, I'm going to lose her. She's falling for him." He got up and walked over to his window.

"You're right. You will lose her if you don't do something."

"Emonie, I love her. My heart is hurting. Knowing that she had sex with Chris is killing me. I thought things were over between them. From what I saw this morning, he isn't going to let her go. He thinks they're back together. You should've heard him. He wants us to be friends." He looked over his shoulder at her.
