Eliott slowly took a few steps behind, raising both his hands. The vampire closed in, a seriously cold expression on his face.
"Wanna explain what you're doing in my apartment?", Victor demanded to know.
"Eh, well... I...", Eliott started stammering while looking around.
In a millisecond, the vampire flashed from the door, to close the space between them, in front of Eliott, who lightly jumped as the vampire stood directly in front of him. He gulped, his breath caught in his throat. The vampire raised an eyebrow at his reaction.
Eliott could smell his breath. He shuddered as he recognized the metallic scent of blood. It was not just his breath though, since Victor was covered in the red fluid.
The vampire grabbed Elliott's shoulder, holding him steady. The boy froze as a shiver went down his spine.
"What do you want?", Victor questioned again.
The teen stared at him wide eyed, unable to take his gaze away from the vampire's dark eyes. Victor frowned when Eliott did not respond.
"Well?", he pressed.
The sound made Eliott snap out of his reverie. He blinked. The vampire sighed and stared into his eyes.
A feeling of being spellbound and mesmerized rose inside of Eliott. He was suddenly unable to look away. Victor spoke, his voice sounded soft and compelling.
"Tell me why you're here."
Eliott couldn't resist and the words just flew out of his mouth.
"My friends and I broke in to save Celine's grandmother. I was waiting for them here."
"I see", Victor replied and let Eliott go.
The teenager took several steps back, rubbing his shoulder. His heart was beating wildly and adrenaline was coursing through his veins.
Not a few seconds later, they heard steps and voices. Victor turned around to look at Tom and Celine with their grandmother, coming up the stairs. He crossed his arms and softly scoffed.
"Well, look at that", he stated dryly.
They looked up, noticing him, their eyes widening.
"Oh, shit", Tom exclaimed.
A crooked smirk spread across Victor's lips.
"If it isn't the trio of small town witches."
Celine stuttered nervously for a second, then she raised her hand and shouted "Motus!"
The vampire flew across the room and landed with a thud against the wall.
"Run", Tom yelled out and they began sprinting as fast as they could.
They managed to reach the door and hurried outside. As soon as they reached the street, they heard the sound of footsteps approaching and Victor appeared before them.
"You shouldn't have done that", he admonished.
The moon shone on his face and highlighted his angered features. They backed away and glanced at each other in fear.
Celine's grandma slowly began speaking.
"Do not make me set you on fire."
A light, dry chuckle escaped Victor's lips.
"Darling, you've been in there for a while. No food, no water. You're weak. You couldn't even lit a candle, if you tried."
"But we can", Tom stated and stepped forward.
