Azazel's PoV

I had returned to Hell soon after observing the girl, hoping to find things here in this bleak and boring place to take my mind off of her. Yet, even as I sit here listening to Murmur tell me about the current news of Hell, nothing could distract me from her. A hybrid of sorts has been walking on Earth and no one notices? I snort inwardly; I can see how well the weres and vamps patrol. I should reward them for the excellent job they did on informing us this phenomenon.

I rolled my eyes without thinking about it; the only reward they will get is a merciful end to their pathetic existence. As long as Lucifer agrees, that is, I add almost immediately after my thought. As his "right-hand man" of sorts, I can't go around and make up my own rules...well, not all the time at least. It just wouldn't look good on him if I did something he wouldn't approve of...not that I don't think he would disapprove of a "spring cleaning" in the vamps and weres districts. Those who made the mistake must be executed and those who are next in line must be retrained. Hell cannot afford to have such stupidity and blindness patrol the mortal realm.

I ran my hand through my hair, a sign that usually signifies that I'm deep in thought and not paying attention to anything around me. Fortunately, no one pays attention and I can get away with ignoring whatever being to be boring me. Well, except for Murmur, that is. I tuned back in to my surroundings to see her staring at me intently, one perfectly manicured black eyebrow arched. Her amethyst eyes sparked, the pale violet color standing out from her bronze skin. With one hand on her hip, she frowned slightly at me and narrowed her eyes. I grimaced; upsetting Murmur was the last thing on my mind.

"What has you in such deep thoughts, Azazel", she asked, tossing her braided black hair behind her as she crossed her arms.

Not a good sign. I cringe inwardly, knowing that while I have no reason to be afraid of the Amazon Warrior/Death Princess, as I could quite easily take her on and win, being on her bad side is never a good thing. She, even though as quiet as she is, can very easily make your life very miserable. Luckily enough for me, I've only seen it happen to others, once even to Lucifer himself, and not me. In regards to the Lucifer episode, how he managed to piss Murmur off so much is a tale I have yet to hear. However, what I do know, is that when she was upset with him, Hell had never seen so much chaos and disorganization before. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, right?

Anyhow, long story short, it was only a week that this whole thing took place before the big man himself came down and apologized personally to her. Everything soon went back to normal after that and, to my knowledge, Lucifer has never crossed Murmur again. So, when I say being on Murmur's bad side is truly a bad thing, trust me.

"Azazel!" she says, louder this time. "What in Hell's name are you overthinking this time?"

"I was just thinking about the patrol district and how it may be time for me to make a surprise visit", I reply smoothly, hoping that my words will calm her down.

She frowns, cocking her head at me and sits down on one of the plush pillows she has in her room, smoothing out the pearl-colored empire gown around her. The room is one of many that we Fallen Angels transport into when we are not currently performing any duties. Each Fallen Angel has a room assigned to them and they can customize it any way they wish. Murmur's happens to be quite the Amazon rainforest, just in miniature form. A live waterfall sits in the middle of the big room, already showing off that this room is very nature-oriented. The walls are a soft brown color, not that anyone could see what the color is anymore due to the large amount of vines that happen to overtake the walls. The floor is grass and dirt, and yes, before you ask, she does have plants growing out of the ground. All around the room, various pillows are stacked on top of the other in varying colors of greens and browns. An Amazon Goddess at heart, truly.
