Sitting alone in inkopolis square, you think of it as a good idea to go out to get some spicy noodles, since you were hungry. Once you arrived, you sat at the bar to wait on your noodles. You decide to look around, and admire the interior. It had some nice paintings, sculptures, and signs around the restaurant. While looking around, you noticed an inkling. Not any regular inkling-a very well known inkling. Vintage?! You thought to yourself. You just endlessly stared in awe, even after the jellyfish handed you your noodles.

He noticed you were staring at him, which made him look a bit...aggravated. Like you were staring at him because you didn't like him or something-causing some tension in the air. Thankfully, you had your sketchbook that had a bunch of drawings of him and his team-making you think it would be a good idea to show him the drawings. The tension only grew thicker when he noticed you scooting closer to him-making him seem even more aggravated.

Building up the courage, you finally said something to break the tension. "Vintage! I never expected to ever see you in person before! I really adore you and your team!" You exclaimed while handing him one of the pictures while gleaming intensely. You noticed his aggravated face shift back to his normal expression, as he looked at the drawing. You noticed him slightly smile at it.

    You were happy that he seemed to like the drawing. Plus, you were an X rank yourself, so you knew you'd have a chance at interacting with him. It was still a bit weird that he looked down on anyone who wasn't at X rank yet. However, you simply decided to just not pay it any mind.

     You two decided to have a conversation for a while, until you both were done eating your noodles. When you two were done, Vintage invited you to train with him. You gladly accepted the request, and you both left the restaurant.

     Training at Makomart, you two had a lot of fun. You also got some tips from him on how to get better at ranked. Sure you were X rank already, but it was simply because you got lucky with getting good teams. Without all the teams you got queued up with, you most likely wouldn't be in X rank at all. Plus, you didn't even have an official team yourself, so that's an even bigger reason why you would just queue up with randoms. Telling him this information, he offered you a spot in his team for whenever any of  his current team members needed to leave for a while.

     As modest as you were, you were quick to try to decline the offer, but he insisted. It seemed as though he wasn't as rude as everyone saw him. Well, he was, only if he doesn't like you or if you're under X rank. Other than that, he's actually pretty nice.

     It was getting late, and it also happened to start raining. With this, he gave you his windbreaker, and also offered to walk you home. You accepted his offer, and he walked with you. In the middle of walking, he grabbed your hand. You gave him a soft smile and continued walking. Once you two made it to your apartment, you returned his windbreaker, and said goodbye.

     Before he officially left, he gave you his phone number. You both exchanged a smile as he left. Watching as he left, you felt slightly sad, yet were still happy he gave you his phone number. You texted him for a few hours, before going to sleep.
