Alder, however, returned from the dead, resurrected to protect witch-kind. The Mother had given her a quest to collect the pieces of the first song, a powerful Work that could change the world. On the run, Tally and her sisters, along with Nicte, crossed paths with the resurrected Alder. Reluctantly, they agreed to join forces, though Alder was initially dismissive and angry at Tally. Tally's depression deepened, and Alder couldn't help but notice her pain. Slowly, she began to forgive Tally and let go of her anger. Their relationship mended, but it was fragile.

During a confrontation with Camarilla soldiers, Tally jumped in front of Alder to protect her and got injured. As she lay on the ground, Before passing out, Tally repeatedly apologized to Alder, who sat there, shaken by her emotions. When Tally awoke, she found herself in her room at the Cession cottage, with Alder sitting by her bedside. Overwhelmed, Tally apologized once more and burst into tears. Alder, instead of harboring anger, comforted Tally, cupping her cheek and touching their foreheads together. They forgave each other, and Tally asked if Alder could stay with her on the bed. Alder complied, and they shared an intimate moment, Tally resting her head on Alder's chest as she listened to the reassuring beat of her heart
