Steve had sneaked in his chambers with Bucky's help. He had stayed at your place on Sunday. He sighed as he entered the sitting room and said a 'good night' to Bucky and turned around, screaming in shock when he saw his father sitting on the couch. "Oh God! Dad!"
Bucky immediately rushing in with his gun aimed to shoot. "Who is it?!"
"Hey, dad." Steve chuckled nervously. His hand reaching out to push Bucky's hand down. "W-What are you doing here?"
"Where were you, Steven?" Joseph asked.
"I was..... out." Steve shrugged.
"That is the most lamest answer I have ever heard." Joseph said. "Where were you?"
"Ma didn't tell you?" Steve asked. His mother knew he was at your place.
"No. She didn't." Joseph said. "That's why I came here to ask you."
"But Ma said she will tell you where I was?" Steve said.
"Tell me where you were, Steven." Joseph said.
"I was at Y/N's. She was very tired and stressed about work. So, I thought I'd stay and take care of her." Steve said. "And Bucky had told Ma that I was going to stay over the weekend when he came here to get some clothes for me."
"Your mother knew where you were. Of course she wouldn't tell me." Joseph knew Sarah wouldn't tell him something like this. Because she knew he would have stopped Steve from staying with you.
"I'm sorry, dad. I should've told you." Steve said, "It's just Y/N was so worried and tired that I couldn't leave."
Joseph sighed, he knew his son was head over heels for you. He couldn't do or say anything to stop Steve from seeing you. "Is Y/N okay now?"
"She's fine. Much better." Steve said.
"Alright. Next time you do something like this at least tell me. I was worried sick, Steven." Joseph said.
"Yes, dad." Steve nodded.
"Now go and get some sleep." Joseph said, walking to the door. "Good night, son."
"Night, dad." Steve sighed.
"Good work right now, James. Always be on alert like that." Joseph said.
"Thank you, sir." Bucky nodded as Joseph closed the door behind him. "Can't believe we survived." Bucky said, "Yay!"
