The Ex's Blind Date

3: An Ex and his episodes.

Though he's tried hard to ignore it, it almost makes it even worse as his toes curl in his black sneakers underneath the table while his nails dig into the wooden surface of the table.

Stain's date could visibly see how annoyed he is and almost wants to leave him behind and leave the diner.

He's never been this hooked on anyone before and the fact that an innocent looking woman dated such an untamed beast makes her believe he might have actually liked her.

At least to some extent.

"I fvcking hate this." He suddenly says under his throat as he redirects his gaze to his girlfriend. "Linda, Have you ever felt you have always hated a complete stranger?"

"No, but I hate you right now, so that's a first." She shrugs her shoulders as their order finally arrives. "Could you get this to go? I'm suddenly not in the mood to eat here." She glares at her boyfriend and gets up from the seat as the woman takes her plate to get it packed.

Though it should bother him since he came along with her, it doesn't in the slightest when he can now find the chance to ruin this perfect date.

Kaia on the other hand is barely paying attention to Stain's failed date as she stares down at her food, already starving to grab a bite.

She digs her fork into the fries and places them into her mouth, sighing out in admiration for the soft but crispy texture.

"It's not fancy, but it's delicious." Theo chuckles as he watches her joyfully eat her meal. "You should try some oysters, they are really good with some lemon and a special sauce."

"Oh, the seafood?" She asks as she takes a sip from her fizzy drink. "I'd like to try them, crab too, but I heard that's so expensive."

"Well, if you'll go with me, I can be happy to treat you to a luxurious meal of crabs and oysters." He chuckles out with a playful wink as she smiles back at him, only to frown in an instant when a hand covered in tattoos reaches into her plate of fries.

Her eyes trail up to his waiting gaze that stare back down at her.

"What are you doing?" She asks as she watches him take the fries he stole from her plate into his mouth.

"How old are you?" He ignores her as he turns his gaze towards Theo who clenches his jaw when he can't help but notice how close Stain is standing next to Kaia, almost behind her and leaning over her.

"Why do you ask?" Theo asks as he leans back into his seat, dropping his smile. "We're on a date and you're rudely interrupting us, should we know you?"

"Your date's ex." He gives Theo a mischievous smile as he walks behind Kaia and places his hands on her shoulders, squeezing them tightly as Kaia's face turns pink from his touch. "She didn't mention me, huh?"

"Not that she'd need to." Theo rolls his eyes slightly as he glances down to Kaia who is simply sitting there with her face to the floor as she is clearly trying to hide the unwanted feeling. "So what if she's your ex, can't you see were in the middle of something?"

"I know. I saw. I don't care." He explains as he lets go of Kaia's shoulders and leans over her, placing his hands on the table, trapping her between his hands. "How old are you?"

"Thirty-two." He clenches his jaw as he can't help but want to peel him away from her.

He isn't touching her, she is just trapped underneath his tall frame even as he leans onto the table.

But he is still too close for comfort.

"Ah, not too bad." He shrugs his shoulders and moves from Kaia, finally giving herself some room to breath. "What do you work as? I see your fancy clothes mean you're better off than the rest of us."

"I run a marketing agency." He says as Kaia raises her brows, surprised to hear he's that well secured. "Not that you'd know what it is."

"I don't care." Stain rolls his eyes as he crosses his arms to his chest. "Aren't you too good for her? She's a diner waitress, barely can afford new clothes from time to time."

Kaia frowns as she stares up at Stain who still has his eyes fixed on Theo.

"She will look good now, but she'll stop all this makeup and new dress phase once she gets comfortable with you." Stain continues to add more salt to the wound as Kaia glances to the floor whilst clenching her fists. "She's not of your level, go find someone else."

Theo stares down at Kaia who furrows her brows in pity at him, knowing Stain is right about her. She knows he's out of her league and should have looked for someone classy and someone who takes care of herself.

"I see why she left you. You clearly didn't deserve an ounce of her. If you find pleasure in devaluing women then you better just give up on every love life and stay alone." Theo points out with a soft tone, getting Stain to clench his jaw as Kaia stares at him, mesmerized by his reply. "Maybe now can she truly be with a man who can protect and show her she's worth more than gold and diamonds."

The urge to lung at him boils within his veins as he glares down at Theo who clearly checked all of Kaia's checklist boxes and could be seeing him a little more now.

Stain turns his gaze down to Kaia and notices her wide shining eyes that stare at Theo with amusement and relief.

The eyes she once showed him when he asked to date her.

He's never seen those eyes since and seeing them now... Directed to another man makes his blood vessels itch to burst.

"You think you're so smooth." Stain chuckles out as he bangs his fist against the table and suddenly grabs Theo's collar, holding onto it tightly. "Fvck you and fvck your date. You won't last a second together you piece of sh*t."

He hisses and forcefully shoves him back, though it doesn't really make him fall but it's enough to get Kaia to stand in terror.

"Stain leave us alone!" Kaia hisses as she grabs his vest and pulls him away from the table. "You're so childish! You don't even know him!"

"Leave me alone!" Stain hisses as he snatches his hand from her, getting her to sigh in frustration. "Who the fvck do you think you are?! I can talk to whomever I damn want to and treat them how I see fit."

"You don't have to be violent!" She hisses back at him as he glares down into her eyes. "Why are you like this? Why have you always been this way? Why haven't you changed? Stop being untamed, Stain."

"If I bother you so much, kill me for all I fvcking care!" He rolls his eyes and shoves her aside as he walks to the door. "You're not perfect either, Kaia. You'll never be happier than when you were with me. Your Romeo will ditch you like you ditched me, you idiot for a woman."

And with that, Stain leaves the diner with his food barely touched as Kaia stands there in embarrassment.

Stain has always had an uncontrollable temper.

One time he's okay, staying silent and the next he's in people's faces.

He's always been violent and didn't care about anyone around him, even her.

She had enough of him and gave up.

He's always hated her for it and called her a hypocrite for claiming she'd love him no matter who he was.

He's always held a grudge against her since they parted ways.

Coming back to where she lives is just is way of getting back at her for what she did.

Though he didn't expect her to start moving on just as he's been wanting his sweet revenge.
