The next nightfall, as they both planned. Anthony and Sappherina met up at the Mahowood Shallows. They met up near the beautiful lake, where the flowers bloomed. "Hello, princess Sappherina." Said Anthony with smile. "Hello, prince Anthony" said Sappherina. They both sat on a bench nearby the lake.
"How have you you been? You look ill.." Anthony worried. "Oh, well....I haven't been doing so great. The war and everything...I'm quite worried about my parents." She responds.
"Oh yes, I'm.....quite disappointed of my father." Anthony mumbles. Sappherina felt pity and held Anthony's hand. "Listen, its not your fault. Your father's action doesn't justify who you are." She responds
Anthony smiles at her.
"Sappherina..." "Yes?" "Your hand....can you move it?"
Sappherina looks down realizing she was holding his hand. Embarrassed, she let go.
"I'm sorry." She said, disappointed "It's fine," he said, he doesn't like being touched. "Well, we should head back." He adds.
"Oh...why's that? It hasn't been that long of a time yet." Sappherina says "Yes....but.....THE GUARDS! They're probably looking for you." Said Anthony, he used it as an excuse. "Oh....right." they both get off the ledge and say their goodbyes but before they left Sappherina looked back "will we come tomorrow?" She asked, Anthony looked back and nodded.
Princess Sappherina was devastated. Clearly, prince Anthony didn't feel the same way about her....she was so mad at herself. Maybe she was taking it too fast? I mean, it's only been 2 days hasn't it? Yeah, probably. She had a bit of hope.
She went back to the refuge.
And for the following week, prince Anthony and princess Sappherina met up together at the Mahowood Shallows. Every nightfall and Sappherina made sure to be cautious. Even tho Anthony probably didn't feel the same way about her.....she liked him, a lot. He wasn't like the other boys who she liked, all scrawny, rude and selfish. All they wanted was, a big kingdom and Sappherina's beauty. Nothing else. But, Anthony......
He was....kind, brave, cunning, very charming! He wasn't anything like this father. He liked peace, he was extremely respectful and responsible. In Sappherina's eyes he was the only one she'd fall in love with.
And she'd do anything and everything for him.....
The following week, it had been.....the 7th day which they met and they were already so close. And...as Sappherina thought, Anthony did loosen up a bit. He was more comfortable with Sappherina touching him. He was extremely respectful as always. Then, this would be happiest day of Sappherina's life
Anthony came to the Mahowood shallows, where Sappherina was already there, gazing at the stars. She didn't notice Anthony. He crept up behind Sappherina and placed both of his hands on her shoulders, surprising her. "The stars are quite beautiful, aren't they?" He asked. Sappherina jolted. "Oh my! You scared me Anthony, don't do such things again!" She yelled. "Oh my, I'm sorry" he said, laughing. Sappherina started laughing too along with him. Anthony sat down next to her.

She'd smile as she gazed into Anthony's eyes and he also gazed into her eyes. As they look at each other forgetting about everything around them. Princess Sappherina then shakes her head. "Oh, sorry! Erm.." Prince Anthony cleared his throat as he fixed his tie. "Uhm.."
"So.. how was your day?" He smiled nervously. Princess Sappherina dusted her gown as she looked back at him. "It was okay.. like everyday.." she murmured. While they had small talk, a small nuke then exploded into Eldoria's kingdom. "OH MY GOSH, FATHER!" She screamed as she got worried about her people dying.
They both stood up as prince Anthony held Princess Sappherina's hand quickly as they backed away. "Oh my gosh.." he whispered as they both panicked. "It's okay.. it's okay.." he said trying to calm down princess Sappherina..
"This is just.. just.. It's been so stressful lately!" She sobbed looking back at Anthony who was trying to comfort her. "The war and everything Anthony! I don't even know why this war has even started!" She sighed as her tears dried.
"You should go back now princess Sappherina, It's more safer at the refuge for you as for now.." Prince Anthony suggested. "Oh prince Anthony, I just wish this war would soon end.." Said princess Sappherina as she waved bye to Prince Anthony and made her way back to the refuge.
She went to her imperial tent at the refuge and laid there thinking about the war and Anthony. "He's from the Esleothia kingdom, isn't he.." She sighed. She buried her head into her arms and thought about it for a while.
"Wait.. he's from the Esleothia kingdom of course.. and why was mother taken away?! This doesn't make sense, during war?... Is there something that father isn't telling me?" Princess Sappherina thought curiously.
"And why did father not escort me to the royal retreat where all the other royals go to during war? Why to a refuge instead?.." She questioned to her self as she peaked outside the tent. Princess Sappherina accidentally eavesdropped on one of the guards talking with another guard..
"Hey mate." One of the guards coughed. "Yo, haven't you heard?" The other one asked as he put down his cigar. "What?" "Queen Ophelia has been dethroned." One of them chuckled. "Oh right, people call her "Queen of betrayal" lame right?" They asked.
Princess Sappherina was shocked as she murmured to herself.. "Wait, if a royal has dethroned forcefully.. then.." she held her breath not wanting to finish that sentence.
"Just like she got dethroned, she got deheaded ain't it?" The other guard laughed poking the guard next to him. "Beheaded* and yeah. Who even wants a queen from whatever Esleothia think she's from? Was she looking for tRuE love? I hope sweetie knows her place." The other chuckled.
Princess Sappherina was flabbergasted by the guards behaviour. "She's.. She's my mother!" She cried. The guards were surprised when they saw princess Sappherina. "You do NOT disrespect my mother like that! She is your queen!" "Was queen.." one of the guards whispered.
Princess Sappherina was astonished and crossed her arms. "She's the reason you're still here. Be grateful that she ever WAS queen. At least she felt love, honestly." Princess Sappherina scoffed. She felt as if she was disrespecting the guards, but knew it was the right thing for her.
"I'm sorry, but don't you dare talk about my mother like that." Princess Sappherina said as she stared at the guards. "Yes your highness.." they mumbled as they walked away.
