"Papa?" Princess Sappherina giggled as she walked into the throne room with her gaudy violin to find king Lewis. "Where's papa?" She questioned as she looked around. A courtier nearby who was spry saw princess Sappherina and sauntered towards her.
"The dear king has gone on a long journey your highness." He bowed as she looked around sulkily. "But... papa said he'd watch me play the violin today!" Princess Sappherina was smitten. "This can't go on like this! Where's papa?! I'll come to him, please!" She said while tears dribbled down her face.
Though how many times she had begged, she wasn't allowed to go out. So that very evening, young princess Sappherina sneaking out from her chambers and ran out from the gates of the castle to the forest nearby.
She happily revelled as she rove through the grove, abreast. That's when she found the Mahowood shallows. "Oh my.. This looks ravishing!" She giggled as she sat by the lake.
A few hours passed by and it was beginning to get dark, but princesses Sappherina was dazzled by the lakes beauty so she laid by it and was stargazing when suddenly, queen Ophelia marched over with some guards by her.
"Sappherina! What did I tell you?! Do not go running out by yourself at the middle of the night!" She groaned. Her eyes were gawking at princess Sappherina as in a tyrants way as she dragged Sappherina back to the palace.
"What you did was GERONIMO Sappherina!" Queen Ophelia yelled. "You cannot be an imp like those pesky kids near the palace! Do you hear me?!" She called out. "I'm sorry mummy! I was just.. just.." "Just what?! Hanging out with some boy being all so gaudy?!" She said loud mouthed.
"Mummy! You were there! I wasn't anywhere near a boy!" Princess Sappherina cried. "Yeah right.. what you did was dismal and your father kept on worrying about you!" Groaned queen Ophelia but then princess Sappherina squealed. "Papa's home?!" She ran down the grand staircase as she hopped into king Lewis's arms.
"Papa!" She giggled. "I learnt the violin!" Princess Sappherina ran and got her violin and stood in front of her father. "Here's a little curtsy and.." "Stop Sappherina.." interrupted king Lewis.
"I am feeling rather tired. Especially after you brusquely ran away to the forest, the one we BANNED you from. This is sick! Now let me have my rest," he sighed as he turned away from princess Sappherina. "But.." sighed Sappherina as she looked down. "But papa, I've been waiting for you.."
She murmured. Tears fell down her eyes as she walked slowly back to her chambers. "When will you ever have time for me papa?.."
