Logan"Are you sure?"
Lauren's voice is strained as she walks next to me, a massive box full of wedding decorations in her arms.
"It's really not a big deal." With my own arms full, I help her put them in the trunk of her car. "I promise."
Pulling her hair back into a low bun, she rests her hands on her hips. "You're the best friend in the entire world."
With an over exaggerated kiss to my cheek, I push her away with a laugh. "You are so dramatic!"
"Harry said that his flight should be here around seven." Opening her car door, she smiles at me again. "I didn't tell him you were coming, so let me know if he's being horrible to you."
My heart rate triples at the thought of seeing him.
Since I responded to that first text there hadn't been a moment we weren't talking to each other. For the last week I'd fallen asleep with him on the other end of the phone, talking to each other until our eyes couldn't stay open any longer.
I was nervous to see him. "You didn't tell him?!"
"Well, it's not like it's a big deal!" Climbing into the driver's seat and starting the ignition, she looks up at me. "You'll basically just pick him up and drop him off at home. Honestly, Logan— you're saving my ass."
Pick him up.
Drop him off.
I can do that.
I can do that.
"It's nothing." Stepping back from her, I wave my hand in front of my face. Giving me a quick smile and a wave of her own, Lauren heads off leaving me behind.
A vibration in my back pocket brings my attention away from her. The name on the screen brings a million butterflies to my stomach just like they have been for the last two weeks.

Maybe a couple. The flush across my cheeks makes me shake my head, stepping up to my own car and crawling in behind the wheel. I've barely even made it down the road before my phone rings, the name on the display of my car making me laugh as I hit the accept call button.
"Hello." I smile. "I was just headed to your house."
"Perfect!" The warm sound of my mom's voice washes over me. "I couldn't remember what time you said so I was calling to double check."
