HarryFinally.
With Logan back in my arms, everything feels right.
When I couldn't figure out how to get into the gala and her mom offered me her ticket, it was a no-brainer for me to take it.
I stood and watched her as she gave a speech and looked like the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen— so generous, so smart, so loving.
Stepping out into the hall, my plan was to leave and let her have the night she spent so much time planning.
But hearing my name from her lips?
There was nothing in this world that sounded better than that.
To see the woman I wanted to spend my life with running towards me, the end of her dress and her shoes in her hand.
My wild, brilliant girl.
Pressing my lips to hers again feels like sunshine after the worst storm, as if the warmth can finally push out the cold and lonely feeling.
"You're here." Brushing her finger across the top of my cheek, I lean in to kiss her palm.
Meeting her gaze, I smile. "Why wouldn't I be? anything could keep me away from this. I'm so proud of you, baby."
"I love you." Her words fill the ache in my chest.
"Logan." Standing with all this love out here in the hall, I've never been happier. "I thought about you every moment of every day. Don't ever think that I won't take my time to understand you or listen to what you need."
"Harry—" There's a catch in her breath as she runs her tongue over her bottom lip. "Can you take me home? To your house?"
"You don't want to stay for your event?" Barely audible, music plays in the ballroom. "I don't want you to miss anything."
Espresso and sky eyes search mine as she shakes her head. "I've already missed so much, I don't want to miss anymore."
Covering her lips with mine again, I step into her as her back presses into the wall while my tongue finds hers— a dance that rivals the greatest ballet. Sliding my hand around her back and down to her ass, I give it a squeeze as she lets out a low moan while tipping her head back.
Grazing her soft skin with my teeth, I press a kiss to her pulse. "This dress, god. I feel like the luckiest man in the world to call you mine. You want me to take you home? Want me to show you all the ways that I've missed you?"
She nods, pressing her lips to the underside of my jaw.
"So kind." I step back and thread my fingers with hers. "I'm glad you never lost your manners."
"Always for you."
I smile as we walk towards the exit, turning to look at her beautiful face.
"Let's go home."
__________
What feels like forever ago I thought this was the end.
I thought that Logan would never be back in my space, making my house feel like a home more than anything else.
"I missed you." My lips brush against her jaw as we step through the kitchen. "God only knows how much I missed you."
Her delicate hands press across the silky fabric of my shirt as she looks up at me, eyes full of so much emotion and love. "I'm so sorry— Please—"
