As she walked into the school that Monday morning, she was amazed at how fast Stacey got everything ready for spirit week. A huge banner hung above the entrance of the building, with vibrant flyers plastered on the walls. Excited chatter filled the hallways as students buzzed with anticipation of the upcoming events.

"Hey Rea," Chloe greeted as she approached Reagan

"Hey," she replied back as the two of them started walking down the busy hallway. passing a group of students talking animatedly about spirit week.

"Everyone seems really excited for spirit week," Reagan commented to Chloe, who chuckled quietly.

"Yeah, things can get pretty wild, especially during the boy auction," Chloe replied, wiggling her eyebrows mischievously.

"Not interested," Reagan quickly denied as they entered their first class and took their usual seats next to each other.

"Yeah, me neither, but it's always entertaining to see Misty running around the school, warning everyone not to even think about bidding on Grayson," Chloe mused before continuing "Last year, a senior dared to bid on him, and let's just say she regretted it pretty quickly afterward."

Reagan frowned at that knowing what transpired over the weekend between the two now ex-lovers Chloe picked up on her friend's change in demeanor.

"What's wrong?" she asked quietly,

Regan hesitated, looking around to ensure no one was within earshot before whispering, "Misty and Grayson broke up."

Chloe's eyes widened in surprise upon hearing the news. Her mind raced as she tried to process the unexpected revelation. "What?!" she exclaimed, unable to contain her astonishment.

"Shh, keep it down," Regan urged, glancing around nervously as if afraid the walls themselves might eavesdrop on their conversation.

Eager for the juicy gossip, Chloe leaned in, her curiosity piqued. "How do you know?"

Regan hesitated, a flicker of guilt crossing her face before she admitted softly, "She came to my house crying on Saturday night."

Chloe's eyebrows shot up at that "Do you know why?" she pressed, her eyes alight with intrigue.
