"The author goes to great lenghts to establish Hedda Gabler as a strong, proud woman. Someone who could never live with the threat of being blackmailed." Mom said as she was handing out papers to the whole class.
"Emily is everything alright?" Mom asked and I looked back at Emily who stood up with a panicked expression on her face.
"Can I be excused?" Emily asked but left before she got a reply.
Aria, Spencer and I quickly got up and followed after her.
"Guys, what's going on?" Hanna asked when we ran into her in the hallway.
"We don't know, just come on."
"Em, what's the matter?" I asked when we all got to the bathroom. Emily was washing her hands.
She handed me something and I looked at it. I was disgusted. It was a necklace, which said 'dead girls can't smile' and it had teeth attached to it.
"What is that?" Hanna asked and took it from my hands.
"Are those teeth?" Aria questioned.
"Just please get rid of it." Emily claimed.
"Are they Alison's?"
"Oh my god, I can't breath."
"It wasn't enough to steal her bones now we're gonna get pieces of her delivered to us?" Aria asked.
"These probably aren't even human." Spencer claimed.
"They're totally human." Hanna hissed.
"How do you know?"
"Because I worked at a dentist office, Spencer."
"Yeah, for two days, answering phones."
"Yeah, and there were teeth everywhere. Even the freaking bathroom key was shaped like a cuspid." Hanna deadpanned.
We heard girls talking outside so we all went into one stall and locked the door.
"Guys, real or not this 'A' is working real overtime to try and frame us" I stated. "First the call to Emily from Spencer's phone, then the cemetery photo and now-"
Emily cut me off. "It's all my fault."
"Em, stop!"
"No, that whole night is like a black hole. And I still can't figure out how I got to Ali's grave."
"We need to give this to the police." Aria said snatching the necklace from Spencer's hand.
"We can't! We already lied to them about the lake house." Spencer exclaimed.
"Yeah, and that was a huge mistake! We keep digging ourselves in deeper, and burning those photos was one thing. But these are teeth. Okay? We should at least tell our parents." Aria said.
