As they searched the house, they carefully examined every nook and cranny, hoping to find any signs or hints that could crack the case wide open.

They scoured every room, peering under furniture and flipping through papers, their hearts pounding with anticipation.

Each discovery, no matter how small, fueled their determination to uncover the truth.

The tension in the air was palpable as they meticulously combed through the house, their minds racing with the possibilities of what they might find. With each passing moment, their resolve grew stronger, knowing that the answers they sought were just within reach.

With everyone gathered outside the house, a sense of determination filled the air as they prepared to move forward in their investigation.

Billie, realizing the lack of evidence on the victim and the perpetrator, pondered her next move. She remembered the card she had found earlier, which belonged to Ella's doctor.

A flicker of an idea sparked in her mind, and she decided to follow this lead. With a resolute nod, Billie suggested heading to the doctor's office, hoping to gather more evidence that could shed light on the case.

The team agreed, their curiosity piqued as they wondered what secrets the doctor's office might hold. They loaded into their vehicles, ready to embark on the next leg of their investigation, fueled by the hope that this new lead would bring them closer to uncovering the truth.

"Marie, I understand you lost your mother a couple of years ago. I'm sorry" Billie didn't know why Marie's mother had died. If only she knew that she died because she thought Billie was dead.

Marie was exhausted, emotionally drained by the tension between her and Billie. She longed for a peaceful resolution, to solve the case without the constant clash of egos.

All she wanted was to find the truth and return to the comfort of her own home, but the cruel irony was that the crime had occurred within the very walls that were meant to provide solace.

The weight of the situation pressed heavily on Marie's shoulders, leaving her feeling trapped and suffocated. It seemed as though every step she took towards solving the case only pushed her further away from the sanctuary she so desperately craved.

The frustration and sadness welled up within her, a mix of anger at Billie's attitude and the overwhelming burden of the investigation. In that moment, Marie couldn't help but question if the cost of pursuing justice was worth sacrificing her own peace of mind and happiness.

"Why do you have to ignore me. You were playing games with me then right? I mean for fucks sake you cheated on me and I never acted this way towards you" Billie told Marie.

"What difference does it make? Can we just finish the case and go about our days" Marie uttered.

"Marie. We're going to the hospital we need to see her doctor for more evidence" Billie said. She was mostly speaking to Marie but this was for everyone that was also working on the case.

"I can't I have somewhere to be. I gotta fill out some paper work back home" Marie lied. "What paper work. I'm in charge. You work under me. We don't have time for your emotions. Just follow what the fuck I say. We're going to the hospital now" Billie sternly said cutting her off.

And so, without further ado, they set off on and they went to the doctor's office. Marie, feeling a mix of emotions, chose not to engage in an argument with Billie.

Deep down, she knew that Billie's words held a kernel of truth.

It was true that Marie had allowed herself to be swayed by the allure of cheating, thinking it was cool and exciting, just like everyone else seemed to believe. But in the depths of her heart, Marie knew that her love for Billie was unparalleled. She loved Billie and only Billie. Forever.
