Synopsis
Mia Thornton, Topper's twin sister who never exactly was one of the top girls of the outer banks, but the geeky girl who got good grades, had braces and a lisp, wore glasses, where none of the guys or girls wanted to look her way, not even Kiara who even before her and Sarah stopped being friends the two used to run away from her when she called out to them.
And most of the Pogues found it hard to feel bad for her when her brother and Rafe were horrible people, where even JJ would tell people that she was the ugliest girl he'd ever seen, but when Pope and John B would walk away, he found himself walking over to her and helping her pick up her books or dig her glasses out of the garbage can someone put them in.
But over the summer, she had disappeared and JJ with the way his home life was thought that the Throntons for their perfect picture lifestyle disowned her finally.
Yet that wasn't the truth, cause one day at the boneyard a kook asked for a beer and when she did, him, John B and Kiara looked up seeing her, yet she no longer had braces, got rid of her lisp and no longer wore glasses having gotten laser eye surgery where the three of them just like everybody else seemed to be seeing her for the first time.
But unknowing to her even though he said rude things to his friends about her and helped her out when nobody was around, he always saw her and unknowing to him, she always saw him too and not the facade he gave off but the boy who got hit by his father and that nobody wanted around either, but she wanted him, she always wanted him.
Maybe this summer, the two will finally find the courage to let each other know that, unless others who still them as the same people as before or those who see them as their new selves decided to ruin them before they even started.
