Time goes by as Lucas slowly wakes inside a carriage, his eyes dart around the black and red interior as he makes eye contact with the blue haired boy sitting in front of him, looking out the window.

"Uhm, hello..?" Lucas asks as the child averts his gaze to Lucas. He moved his body from the slumped position he was in, looking out of the window.

"Why am I here..? Who are you?" Lucas asks reasonably

"We saw you lying on your back off the side of the road and decided to take you with us into the city. I'm the Earl of the Phantomhive family, Ciel Phantomhive" The boy answered

"What city?"

"London" Ciel answered as he put both hands on his cane

"How are you and Earl? You look no more than 15" Lucas asked curiously as he stuck his hand out to express the honest question

"Actually I'm 13" Ciel replied before saying once more "My manor burned to the ground, and along with it so were my family. It was rebuilt and now I am the Earl of House Phantomhive"

"Well Young Earl, I am actually a butler looking for employment currently" Lucas brings up the topic with the hopeful thought of getting a job offer on the table

"I see you're trying to make the best of your opportunities" Ciel says with a smirk before continuing "But we aren't necessarily looking for new hires currently, my servers are all specially trained"

"Well, I'm skilled and trained in firearms and bodyguarding" Lucas replies

This peaks Ciels interest

"What was your last job?" He asks before Lucas replies by pulling out a handkerchief from his right vest pocket, underneath his trenchcoat. Unfolding it as he says

"Well I worked for an Earl in America, around a month ago the estate was raised by some old civil war remnants and unfortunately they killed and ran everyone off. I only just got off a boat today"

He handed Ciel the handkerchief with the cymbal and name of the old masters ranch, Ciel smirked and responded after Lucas finished

"Well if he died, then it seems like you weren't that good of a bodyguard"

A cutting sensation is felt along Luvas' chest as his heart throbs, Ciel was right, if Lucas' was better at his job then Earl Gray wouldn't have died it was everyone's fault, they all let each other down that day. But Lucas raised his head back up

"Yes, I failed, but everyone does at some point, I believe I can succeed here in England" Lucas says with more positive attitude

"Why do you think that?" Ciel asked as he cocked his head

"Well, can the British people own guns?" He asks, as Ciel pulls out his small Baby Browning pocket pistol as he says with a smile

"Well, nobleman may have certain privileges the common man here doesn't"

Lucas grins as he pulls open his coat to reveal the two model 1900 pistols holstered in his chest and holstered revolver at his side.

"I mean if I can't get the job, then I'll gladly sell these to you at the least" he says with a worried look as Ciel looks at him

"I think you've earned yourself an internship"
