It was Perez who had brought me outside, and despite my disoriented state, I could make out his face and hear his voice. "Perez," I called out, but my voice sounded strange, echoing in my own ears."I think you've been drugged," he said, his voice unusually serious. I furrowed my brows, my head hanging low as I tried to make sense of his words.
"Minji, stay awake," he instructed sternly, a note of concern creeping into his voice. I couldn't help but chuckle, even though my speech was slurred. Perez's concern was palpable, and I wasn't accustomed to seeing him so serious.
"Is this what being high feels like?" I slurred, a sense of absurdity washing over me. Perez pursed his lips, his expression pained.
"No, you're on carisoprodol or cyclobenzaprine. They're knock-out drugs. It could be chloroform or laughing gas," he explained, though I only managed to grasp part of what he said.
I chuckled again, leaning more towards the idea of laughing gas as the cause of my dizziness and confusion. Perez let out a sigh of frustration. "Jesus Christ," he muttered, seemingly exasperated by my condition.
As I struggled to focus, I heard labored voices nearby, but I couldn't make out who they belonged to. It could be Hanni or maybe Stephan, but everything seemed hazy. Someone placed a cylindrical object into my hand, and I instinctively brought it towards my lips, realizing it was a glass of water. It was a small relief in the midst of this strange and disorienting situation.
"Minji, who drugged you?" I heard James say, his voice pulling me from the haze that had clouded my mind. I blinked profusely, my surroundings slowly coming into focus. The blaring music from outside pierced through my skull, causing my head to throb painfully.
Oh, it was James who was there I realized. My recollection of the situation remained fragmented. I tried to answer his question as I struggled to regain control of my thoughts. "I don't know... I had a drink... Hanni, Dani was... there," I managed to say before dizziness overtook me. I flopped over, the pain in my head mingling with a strange sensation that felt like heaven.
"That's it," someone growled, getting up. I sensed a tension in the air, but my senses were too dulled to fully understand what was happening. "No, you can't," I heard James argue.
"The fuck you mean I can't? If she drugged someone, I think I can," Perez's voice replied, filled with anger and determination. James let out a sigh, trying to reason with him.
"She's planned this. She wants you to retaliate. You'll fall into her trap. We should focus on Minji," I heard James say, his voice a plea for reason.
There was a pause, followed by heavy, angry breaths. "No, fuck her. I'm going," Perez declared, his footsteps fading as he moved away. "Perez!" James shouted in vain.
"Damn it!" James muttered, left alone with the responsibility of looking after me. "Looks like it's just you and me," he said, addressing my unconscious form. I managed to muster a faint smile before my vision darkened once more. In a surreal and disjointed moment, my head collided with the ground as I passed out.

I pushed through the bustling crowd of partygoers, a sense of frustration building within me. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Cassie and Jessica sharing a drink together in the dimly lit room. My footsteps faltered as I observed their seemingly friendly interaction, but then it hit me like a freight train.
"Those fuckers," I growled under my breath, realizing something was amiss. My determination flared, and I stormed towards the kitchen with purpose.
As I entered the kitchen, my eyes fell upon Hanni and Danielle. They turned to face me, and the atmosphere in the room shifted. Danielle wore a sly smile, but Hanni's expression betrayed a sense of guilt, confirming my suspicions.
"Hey," I roared, my frustration evident. I had no patience for the games they were playing.
Hanni's eyes flared as I confronted her. "It was you, wasn't it?" I accused, anger simmering in my voice. "You drugged her, huh? What are you two, like a pack?" My gaze darted between the two of them, demanding an explanation.
Danielle's smile remained unflinching as she denied any involvement. "I don't know what you're talking about," she claimed, her voice dripping with insincerity.
My exasperation grew, and I examined her with a discerning eye. "What's your problem?" Hanni asked, the tension in the room mounting. It was clear that something was amiss, and I was determined to get to the bottom of it.
I narrowed my eyes, my frustration simmering as I continued to scrutinize Danielle's seemingly unaffected demeanor. It was clear that she was playing a dangerous game, and I couldn't let it slide.
"What's my problem?" I repeated, my voice laced with incredulity. "My problem is that I care about Minji. If you had anything to do with what happened to her, best believe you're going to regret it."
Hanni shifted uncomfortably, her gaze flickering between Danielle and me. She knew that the situation had escalated beyond control, and her guilt was becoming increasingly apparent.
"Fine," she finally admitted, her voice laced with hesitation. "We thought it would be fun, just a prank. We didn't mean for it to go this far." Yeah, right.
My anger flared as I processed Hanni's confession. "A prank? Do you have any idea what you've done?" I snapped, my frustration giving way to genuine concern for Minji. "We need to find her and make sure she's okay."
Danielle, her smile now replaced by a mask of indifference, turned to leave the kitchen. "I've had enough of this," she muttered, but I had no intention of letting her off the hook.
I grabbed her arm, preventing her from escaping. "You're not going anywhere until we figure this out," I stated firmly, the gravity of the situation weighing on me. "Minji's safety comes first."
The room was filled with tension, and the events of the evening had taken a dark and unexpected turn. It was clear that we had to work together to locate Minji and ensure her well-being. With determination in my eyes.
I stared at Danielle with a steely resolve, my voice low and determined. "Whatever you think you're doing, I suggest you stop it now, for everyone's sake," I warned, my eyes locking onto hers. Her black contact lenses made her look eerie and sent shivers down my spine.
She regarded me with a hint of defiance. "Whatever you say, joker," she retorted before leaving the kitchen, her composure unshaken. I couldn't help but scoff at her response, confident in the magnificent disguise my costume provided.
Turning my attention to Hanni, I confronted her with a stern look. "And you, don't come near us ever again," I admonished, disappointment etched across her features. With that, I walked away from the kitchen, determined to locate Minji.
Outside, I spotted a girl dressed as Catwoman assisting Minji, who seemed disoriented, with James by her side. I approached them, my concern for Minji overriding my frustration with the night's events.
"Where is Stephan?" I asked James, coming closer and placing a hand on his waist for support. James shrugged, looking equally perplexed. "Saw him leave on a motorcycle ages ago," he informed me.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, a mix of annoyance and concern welling up inside me. The situation was getting more complicated by the minute, and the absence of Stephan was adding to my worries.
"Minji, can you hear me?" the girl in the Catwoman costume said, gently cradling Minji's head. Minji sighed, her dazed smile a testament to her condition. I couldn't help but wonder about the identity of the girl by Minji's side.
James noticed my questioning look and provided an explanation. "She claims she's Mia, a friend of Minji's," he informed me. I tutted in response, a mix of skepticism and concern for Minji. The fact that her friends had brought her to this state was deeply troubling.
Feeling the weight of the situation bearing down on us, I squeezed James' waist, offering him a reassuring gesture. He looked stressed and worried, and in that moment, I knew we had to do everything in our power to be sure Minji's okay
